ASHTAKAMANIMALA

COMPOSED BY - SRI SRI KRISHNA PREMI SWAMIGAL

RENDERED BY - SRIMATHISUBATHRAA JI
Ashtakamanimala is a collection of 11 ashtakams, lovingly
composed by our dear Sri Sri Anna. This sacred compilation, also
known as the "Garland of Ashtakams," is a profound ode to Lord
Krishna. Within its verses, it gracefully chronicles the various
stages of the Lord's divine journey on this earthly realm.

1. Devakinandana Ashtakam: It commences with the birth of

Lord Krishna as the cherished son of Devaki, known as
Devakinandana.
2. Yashodanandana Ashtakam: The Lord then becomes the
beloved child of Yashoda when He is brought to Gokula by
Vasudeva.
3. Damodara Ashtakam: Here, we witness the enchanting
episode where Krishna, as Damodara, playfully breaks a pot
of curd, leading Yashoda to tie Him to a mortar.
4. Nandagopala Ashtakam: As the Lord grows into a young
child, He becomes the dear son of Nandagopa.
5. Brindavanachara Ashtakam: Lord Krishna, now a cowherd,
takes the cows to Brindavan during the day and returns with
them in the evening.
6. Gopalashekara Ashtakam: The Lord becomes the beloved
cowherd boy, endearing Himself to all of Gokula.
7. Gopikaramana Ashtakam: Captivating the hearts of the
young damsels of Vraja, Krishna becomes the dearest friend
of the lovely Gopis.
8. Radhikaramana Ashtakam: Amidst the Gopis, Sri Radha
holds a special place in Krishna's heart, and Krishna in hers.
9. Madhuranayaka Ashtakam: The Lord departs for Mathura,
where He eventually defeats Kamsa, liberates Devaki and
Vasudeva, and is celebrated as the Madhuranayaka.
10. Dwarakanayaka Ashtakam: Establishing His kingdom in
Dwaraka, Lord Krishna safeguards and nurtures all under His
divine protection.
11. Mangala Ashtakam: Sri Sri Anna concludes this celestial
journey by invoking the blessings of Lord Krishna with the
Mangala Ashtakam, summing up the divine narrative.

These ashtakams, intricately woven with devotion and spiritual
insight, illuminate the multifaceted persona of Lord Krishna. We
invite you to immerse yourself in the profound essence of these
sacred verses, as they are a testament to the eternal love and
devotion we hold for our beloved Lord.

May these divine compositions continue to guide our hearts and

souls on the path of devotion and spiritual awakening.
