WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT 1:

-Give some examples on how would you build self-confidence of your students.
-Design activities where your students can practice the three language views.

First of all, we all know that self-confidence is about believing in your own
abilities. It opens doors and encourages students to take risks and express their
creativity.
Confidence in students is vital for his or her success. The amount of self-
confidence a child possesses will affect his or her educational goals. If a child
loses confidence in school, his or her grades will ultimately be affected. When a
student’s self-confidence suffers, a child may give up on his or her hopes,
dreams and plans.
-When students love and believe in themselves, they are better able to:
1.Become leaders
2.Make decisions based on their own values and no one else's
3.Know what they need and want out of life
4.Set big goals for themselves and work hard until they’ve reached it.
•AS A FUTURE TEACHER TO BOOST STUDENTS CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM
I WOULD:
1.Normalize failure (teach them about the necessity and value of failure)
2.Create autonomy (letting them making choices, and telling them that I
believe in their ability)
3.Provide diverse options (give them an opportunity to be successful in a
number of different ways)
4.Ask for their advice (when we ask them for their advice, we're saying, "I trust
you, you're intelligent and capable)
5.Push and challenge them (pushing them out of their comfort zone)
6.Set realistic expectations (they feel down on themselves, question their
abilities and start to lose confidence when their goals are unrealistic)
•SOME ACTIVITIES THAT I WOULD CHOOSE TO HELP THEM BUILD THEIR SELF-
CONFIDENCE ARE:
-I would ask anyone of them to come in front of the class and talk about what
they love the most about themselves. Whether physical or character trait.
-I would create games where everyone would express their talent and abilities.
-I would give a topic and let them work as a team. I would leave it up to them
to choose the bandmate they would like, and then to exchange ideas and
express their skills.
