➢ CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SCHEMES :

• Broadcasting Infrastructure and Network Development (BIND) :


By Ministry of Information & Broadcasting - The Cabinet Committee on Economic
Affairs has recently approved Broadcasting Infrastructure and Network
Development (BIND) scheme, worth over ₹2,500 crore, will focus on expanding
and upgrading the infrastructure of Prasar Bharati, as well as improving the digital
content and distribution network.

• National Green Hydrogen Mission :-


The Union Cabinet, led by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the
National Green Hydrogen Mission. The mission aims to make India a global hub for
the production, utilization, and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives. The
initial outlay for the mission will be Rs. 19,744 crore.

• Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana (PMGKAY) :

This is an integrated food security scheme launched by the Central Government of


India in January 2023.The program is operated by the Department of Food and
Public Distribution under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public
Distribution. But the nodal ministry is Ministry of Finance.

• Womaniya Initiative :

The Government e Marketplace (GeM) has launched a new initiative called


“Womaniya on GeM” to empower women entrepreneurs and women self-help
groups (WSHGs) to sell their products directly to various government ministries,
departments, and institutions.

• PARAKH Initiative : By NCERT

PARAKH :- Performance Assessment Review and Analysis of Knowledge for


Holistic Development
The Government of India recently launched PARAKH to assess the performance of
secondary and higher secondary students. PARAKH is a Part of National Education
Policy, 2020.

• PM PRANAM Scheme :

The government has launched the PM PRANAM Scheme, which is aimed at


reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and promoting alternatives to fertilizers.
It was launched under the GOBAR DHAN Scheme.

PRANAM - Programme for Restoration, Awareness, Nourishment, and


Amelioration of Mother Earth.

• Digital India Mobile Van :

The Digital India Mobile Van was launched by the Ministry of Electronics and
Information Technology. The main objective of the mobile van is to spread
awareness of Digital India initiatives and also to spread the word about the G20
Digital Economy Working Group. Lucknow was the first destination of the mobile
van where the G20 DEWG’s first meet is held. The main purpose is “Jan Andolan".

• Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman: PM – VIKAS :

The scheme was announced by Finance Minister Smt Nirmala Sitaraman during
the Budget presentation. By this the Government of India is trying to boost its
economic status and keep the age-old arts and traditional crafts alive by different
means.

• NAMASTE Scheme : National Action for Mechanised Sanitation Ecosystem

By Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) as a joint initiative of the


MoSJE and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). In the Union
Budget 2023, the Government of India allocated Rs 100 crores for the NAMASTE
scheme. The scheme aims to provide an alternate livelihood to sanitation workers.

• MISTHI Scheme : Launched to “preserve Mangrove forests”.

• Amrit Dharohar Scheme: The scheme will aim to conserve wetlands. The scheme
is to be implemented in the next three years.

• Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 :

The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana runs under Skill Development Ministry
and is implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation. During this, the
GoI will open 30 Skill India International Centres.

• Jal Jan Abhiyan :

This will be implemented by the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Brahma Kumaris
organization. The main objective of the campaign is water conservation.

• Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) :

The Union Health Minister recently announced that 9,082 Janaushadhi Kendras are
being operated under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP).
The target is to increase the numbers to 10,000 by December 2023. This was
launched in November 2008 to provide quality generic medicines at affordable
prices to everyone.

• VAIBHAV Fellowship Scheme : By Ministry of Science and Technology

This is launched in honor of National Science Day, which is celebrated on February


28th. The new initiative aims to enhance the research capability of India’s higher
education institutions by promoting academic and research collaborations with top-
performing institutions from around the world.

• Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) :

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has launched this scheme in 57
Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) throughout India. This flagship initiative is
launched under NEP 2020.

• Integrated Pensioners’ Portal :

Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State, Personnel, announced that the
Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare has decided to create a new
“Integrated Pensioners’ Portal” by combining all pension portals such as Pension
Disbursing Bank portals, ANUBHAV, CPENGRAMS, CGHS, etc. at the Bankers
Awareness Workshop in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

• Har Payment Digital :

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched a new mission called “Har Payment
Digital” as part of its efforts to make every Indian a user of digital payments.Also, the
central bank has started an initiative to adopt 75 villages and transform them into
digital payment-enabled villages.

• Vibrant Village program :

Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the Vibrant Village program at Kibithu, a remote
village near the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh. This program aims to
transform rural areas into self-sufficient and prosperous communities. It will cover
the border areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and
Ladakh.

• Smart Cities Mission :-

The Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry has extended the deadline of its Smart
Cities Mission to June 2024. The Smart Cities Mission was began in 2015, chose 100
cities through a competitive process between January 2016 and June 2018. These
cities were given a five-year timeframe from the date of their selection to finish their
proposed projects.
