International Monetary Fund (Imf) : Objectives and Functions - Geeksforgeeks
International Monetary Cooperation: The most important objective of the IMF was to
establish monetary cooperation among the various member countries. One of the major
causes of the Second World War was the absence of monetary cooperation among the
countries of the world. Hence it was considered necessary to establish international
monetary cooperation to prevent the outbreak of war in future.
The world is divided into two different worlds: the developed world and the developing world.
The developed world is characterized by high levels of economic development, human
development, and social welfare. On the other hand, the developing world is characterized by
low levels of economic development, human development, and social welfare.
