Looking For Someone And Describing Someone.

Conversation on looking for someone:

Dialogue 1

You : Where's John?

Friend : Isn't he in the office?

You : I didn't see him there. If you see him please tell him to drop mea line. Thank you.

Dialogue 2

You : Have you seen John today?

Friend : No. I haven't.

You : If you see him could you tell him to call Peter?

Friend : Sure.

Dialogue 3

You : Is John around?

Friend : He might be in the pantry.

You : Can you tell him that the boss wants to see him as soon as possible?

Friend : Sure.

Conversation On Describing People

Dialogue 1:

A: Have you seen the new girl in school?

B: No, I haven't.
A: She's really pretty.

B: Describe her to me.

A: She's not too tall.

B: Well, how tall is she?

A: She's about five feet even.

B: What does she look like, though?

A: She has pretty light brown eyes.

B: I may know which girl you're talking about.

A: So you have seen her around?

B: Yes, I have.

Dialogue 2:

A: There's a new girl in school, have you seen her yet?

B: I haven't seen her yet.

A: I think that she is very pretty.

B: Tell me how she looks.

A: She's kind of short.

B: What height is she?

A: She's probably about five feet.

B: That's nice, but tell me what she looks like.

A: The first thing I noticed was her beautiful brown eyes.

B: I think I might've bumped into her before.

A: Are you telling me that you've seen her before?

B: I believe so.

1. Warm hearted / friendly = ramah, hangat.

2. Good looking = cakep.

3. Hard working = pekerja keras.

4. Bright = cerdas, pintar

5. Generous / Kind = murah hati.

6. Full of energy / energetic = enerjik, aktif.

7. Thoughtful / Considerate = perhatian

8. Easy-going = mudah bergaul.

9. Reliable / responsible = bertanggungjawab.

10. Truthful / honest = jujur.

11. tall = tinggi.

12. short = pendek.

13. slim = langsing.

14. thin = kurus.

15. fat = gemuk.

16. obese = gemuk.

17. well-built = tegap, gagah.

18. overweight = kelebihan berat badan, gemuk.

19. medium height = tingginya sedang.

20. well-dressed = berpakaian rapi.

21. smart = cerdas.

22. scruffy = tidak rapi, compang camping

24. attractive = menarik.

25. beautiful = cantik.

26. pretty = cantik.

27. handsome = ganteng.

28. ugly = jelek.

31. middle-aged = setengah baya.

32. bald = botak.

33. bald-headed = kepala botak.

34. beard = berjambang, brewokan.
