4. Answer all the questions with a blue or black ballpoint or ink pen. Do not use red ink pen.

6. Unless otherwise stated, all rounding off should be corrected to two decimal places.
Rounding off decimal answers should be done only at the final step.

sells is 9 kg with standard deviation of 0.5 kg.
Test the null hypothesis H 0 : μ  9 against the alternative hypothesis
H a : μ  9 if a random sample of 49 bundles has an average weight of
8 kg. Use a 0.05 level of significance and state your conclusion clearly. (4 marks)
