2. (a) If x  31/ 3  31/ 3 then prove that 3x 3  9x  10  0.

(b)If you invested Tk. 1,00,000 in an account paying an annual

percentage rate of 5%, compound quarterly, how much would you
have in your account at the end of 10 years?

3. (a) What do you mean by derivative of f (x) at x = a? By using the

definition of derivative, find derivative of f ( x)  2x 3  3x 2  4.
