    This rubric evaluates students on their running form and assigns a mastery level of 3, near mastery of 2, or remediation of 1. A score of 3 means the student runs with their head up, is aware of their surroundings, moves their arms and feet fluently and at the correct pace, and lands lightly on the balls of their feet. A score of 2 means the student may get distracted, have occasional non-fluent movement, or hard foot strikes. A score of 1 means the student does not watch where they are going, lacks fluent arm and foot movement, runs at an incorrect pace, and lands hard on their feet when running.
