“The mystery room”

Once upon a time there was a family, the Griffin family, composed by the mother, Stefanni, the father,
Peter, the baby, Stewie, and one ten-year-old boy, Chris.
This family rented a house to spend the summer vacation.
The house was a cottage in England. On the ground floor there was a kitchen, a dining room, a living
room and there was also a door to the basement. The first floor in the house had three bathrooms and
four bedrooms, but strangely one of the bedrooms was closed. In the second and last floor of the
house, is an attic.
When the Griffin family moved into the house, the child, Chris, came across the closed door. It was
very old and had a lot of locks.
Chris was curious, so he tried to find some clues to open the door. He searched all over the house and
found nothing useful, until he got to the attic and found a diary.
When Chris found the diary he started to read it in hopes to find something and soon realized that the
diary had the clues he needed to find the keys to the closed door.
That diary had a lot of dust, it was probably there for a long time. He shook it and one clue fell on the
floor.
He started to read it and the clue said: “If you are willing to find the keys you will have to answer
three riddles, the first riddle you will find in a place where the food runs out quickly”.
When Chris read the riddle, he realized the riddle was referring to the kitchen.
He searched and searched but found nothing, until he remembered that there was a place he hadn't
searched yet, the pantry.
When he opened the pantry door he saw a lot of spoiled food full of cobwebs, but Chris was sure he
was seeing something strange. After searching for a couple of minutes he got hungry and there was
only one good cookie in the pantry, he grabbed it but when he tried to eat it, it was glued to a lever,
that was a cookie-shaped button to hide it. He pushed the button and he found the second clue, it said,
"If you do not please to get dirty, wash up" Chris knew the second clue was in the bathroom, “but
which one?” He said to himself. The house had many bathrooms and he searched them all but there
was only one that was different from the others, he thought this would help him find the second clue.
When Chris entered that bathroom he thought straight away to go look in what was not the same as
the others so much that he searched and found the second clue inside the box where the shampoos
were kept. He started to read the third clue and it said: "The place you have your privacy and your
essentials''. Chris stopped to think, “what place could it be”, he realized that this last clue spoke in a
room. He had already seen a locked door that encouraged him to discover these riddles. He began to
relate the story of the locked room to this clue, which he thought he could open without a key. So
Chris went to try and open the bedroom door, but he couldn't. Chris decided to go look in another
room until there was a room with two bedside tables and the others only had one. He went looking in
the one with two tables and found the key that could open the mysterious door.
When he found the key he immediately ran to the mystery door. When he inserted the key in the door
he fell into a hole and in that hole he saw a strange room that looked like a lab. When he looked
around he found the dead body of the owner of the diary, Chris tried to understand what was going on
and then he found that the owner of the diary was trying to create a cure for a disease, but she died
while doing that. Chris immediately told his parents and after a big discussion they decided to buy the
house.
The kid (Chris) after years became one of the biggest scientists by what he discovered in that strange
room.
