The film is called «Batman returns» and was directed by

Timothy Burton, who is the acknowledged master in the

superhero film genre. The action takes place in Gotham City,
a fictional city located on the East Coast of the United States.
The plot is the following. The main characters in the film
are Bruce Wayne or Batman, Oswald Cobblepot or Penguin,
Selina Kyle or Catwoman, Max Schreck and the mayor. They
all fight, some carry out treacherous plans, and some fight
evil. The events started when rich parents give birth to an
unusual child with webbed arms. They didn’t want a freak like that, so
they flushed him down the drain. There he begins to live and grow
under the wing of penguins. Max Shrek (by the way a billionaire) had a
secretary who found out that he was planning to steal electricity from
the city. Whatever she says, he throws she out the window. But
she’s resurrected by cats, so now she’s Catwoman and she
has a leather suit and nine lives. What did she do and who
did she fight after she gained new strength? Later,
Penguin appears, the one who was abandoned by his parents and
raised by penguins. He hates people (and it is understandable why,
because of a childhood injury and not easy fate) and concludes a deal
with Shrek after which everything in the lives of the heroes changes.
The director created an exciting and interesting story with well-
developed characters. Tim Burton deepened, expanded, added colors and shades
to the world of the first «Batman», creating a sequel equal to the original - it is
rare! The film shows the falseness, promiscuity, aggressiveness, irresponsibility
and consequences of such behaviour, and teaches kindness, friendship,
industriousness and responsibility.
If you’re interested in superhero movies that won’t leave you indifferent -
"Batman Returns" is what you need. The film won two Oscars, with excellent
special effects, heroes and acting!
