ADO has been operating in Yemen for more than 27 years with an outstanding coverage to the deprived rural areas located on the coast of Tehama and other various areas in Yemen aiming to get rid of poverty and infectious diseases. Operating from its Headquarter office in Sana'a, and through its branch offices in Al-Hodeidah, Hajjah, Abs, Raymah Taiz and Aden, ADO provides educational, health, livelihood and WASH services to urban and rural communities. As ADO believes that women are the essence of life, it has devoted all its activities and programs to empower and educate women who will lead to a modern and just state. ADO also believes that protecting and caring for children will result in a prosperous future; free from crime and terrorism. Furthermore, ADO believes that youth are the potential and driving force of any modern civil society. Background on the project The overall aim of the project is to contribute to saving lives through improved access to basic needs for conflict-affected and vulnerable communities in the both targeted districts (Al-Mokha and Khawkha) of West Coast part of Yemen. This will be achieved by enhancing access to food for vulnerable households while providing them with opportunities to increase their assets and income through UCT and CFW. The Specific project objective is to improve food security for vulnerable populations affected by hunger, and have access to safe drinking water. Result: the vulnerable HHs ( HHs in Mokha and HHs in Khowkha) in targeted communities are better able to meet their basic food needs through Conditional and Unconditional cash assistance. + Increase availability and access to secure, safe, and lifesaving food for the most vulnerable households through the provision of Unconditional Cash Transfers (UCT). UCT will target the most food-insecure households based on agreed targeting criteria, Protect and promote livelihoods and build assets to enhance resilience through cash for work. CfW(Cash for Work ) will target HH not receiving UCT and give able-bodied members who are able to work for 15 days. Result 2: HHs in targeted communities have sustained access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation facilities. Activities will include: * Rehabilitation of water wells as main drinking water; urgent repairs and maintenance of water wells and distribution points. * Conduct hygiene promotion sessions Reporting to: Program Manager No. of Supervised staff: FSL Officer - Data Entry Hygiene Promotion Team Leader Civil Engineer Duties and Responsibilities General Management: * Provide leadership and strategic thinking to ensure proper implementation ‘of Hunger crisis in Yemen project activities. * Manage and administer the day-to-day operations to ensure the effective implementation of the project component in case of CfW activities and hygiene promotion. * Provide guidance on the overall strategy for project _ management. * Contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the foundation, and cooperate with government authorities, NGOs, and donors. * Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Programmes manager. Team Management: * Provide technical support and on-going on-the-job training to all team members to ensure they fully understand outcomes which are expected of them, through job description and workplan, and ensure that training is in line with global standards. Reporting and information Management: * Works with the M&E unit for the development of a project monitoring system, to implement and maintain prescribed reporting systems to monitor and evaluate the objectives, indicators, and outcomes and ensure accurate and timely data collection at the field level establishing & maintaining accurate files and records in a safe and secure way — in line with data protection requirements, and the commitment of the project to the logical framework. © Responsible for overall project management, planning, reporting, follow-up of the project activities, assist the Livelihood Programme Manager in budget planning, revision and management on a regular basis in coordination with the finance team to ensure that project expenditure is accurate. © Participate in the preparation of monthly cashflows. © Ensure contracts and payment are prepared as per ADO’s thresholds, Concern and donor financial guidelines, ensuring that requested expenses match approved procurement plans. © Update and track procurement plans against approved work plans and ensure timely initiation of procurement requests in line with ADO guidelines and procedures. * Ensure that ADO and donor policies are followed in the selection of contractors and that the tender decisions are well documented. * Ensure all contractors’ performance is evaluated and evaluations are formally documented. © Ensure all livelihood related M&E tools are utilized correctly and that information is collected and analysed and actions taken to ensure quality service provision * Prepare work plans, annual and quarterly progress reports and final Report. htips:ilyemenhr.comobs/5d89728-04ed-490b-adGe-1 10637140248, an ‘nitans, 501 PM Food Security Project Manager © Writing periodic reports during the implementation of projects and submitting them to top management to monitor the progress of the project plan * Contribute with high quality data and analysis to donor reports on project deliverables; © Report on Activity Info on a monthly basis the progress of ADO’s Livelihood Program, * Support the Programs Manager in writing donor and annual reports. Coordination and Representation: * Represent ADO at a local, regional and national level in relevant Livelihood and Food security related meetings with donors, stakeholder and other relevant actors as necessary. * Coordinate with all components of the project; Coordination with relevant ministries, national organizations, private sector companies and civil society initiatives as required by the project objectives and activities. © Attend relevant coordination meetings. © Ensure that all relevant stakeholders have information about the background, project, objectives, areas of work, duration, and activities in these areas.
