In the article “Here’s Why Costa Rica Leads the Americas in its Response To Climate

Change” by Daniel Proctor, The article highlights Costa Rica's significant achievements in
sustainability and environmental preservation. In spite of its small stature, the nation has taken
positive steps in fields including ecotourism, biofuels, alternative energy, land protection, and
forestry. Because of these initiatives, Costa Rica is now recognized as a pioneer in environmental
preservation, highlighting the significance of its achievements on a worldwide level. I believe
that the article is credible but not up to date. Not only does the Author have experience with
viewing environmental engineering projects around the USA, but the article was also provided
by the Matador school news, which has been reviewed and posted because it is adequate and up
to par. Although the article is out of date, as it was published April 1, 2016. The article does not
seem to have any bias as it was made to inform about Costa Rica’s carbon neutrality. Personally
this article is not what piques my interest and I have written a lot about climate change as I was
in an Environmental Studies program during highschool. Although I have prior knowledge about
the environmental issues and how the climate is being impacted, I rather write about something
that I truly enjoy and love.
