REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

This chapter includes the ideas, finished thesis,

generalizations and conclusions, methodologies and others. Future

researchers will find it helpful to be familiar with the

information in this chapter as it will help them understand

aspects of the current study that are relevant and similar.

Review of literature and studies

As per Sumitra Pokhrel (2021), the COVID-19 pandemic has

created the largest disruption of education systems in human

history, affecting nearly 1.6 billion learners in more than 200

countries. Closures of schools, institutions and other learning

spaces have impacted more than 94% of the world’s student

population. This has brought far-reaching changes in all aspects

of our lives.

According to Roshan Chhetri (2021), Reopening of schools

after relaxation of restriction is another challenge for teachers

with many new standard operating procedures put in place. This

has brought far-reaching changes in all aspects of our lives.

Social distancing and restrictive movement policies have

significantly disturbed traditional educational practices.

Thus, the stress causes and manifestation to public schools

teachers at the secondary education level. This study proved that

one of the primary reasons for teachers stress is time and

Concern for student. Many educators feel morally responsible for

their students well-being. (Nyambongi 2018)

According to a study-based report, teachers in the new

normal would have to employ new practices and forms of management

both professionally and emotionally to adopt to the virus

outbreak changes fully. The report provided a structured

timelines for response management such as guidance, utilizing

technology, and forming digital re-creational activities (Wyman,

2018).

According to an article on how approaches to diminish

teacher stress and lift their ability to play out their best.

School pioneers can help reduce teachers stress by developing

working conditions that help educators. Educators Experiences

less pressure and resolve to occupations even more regularly

under agreeable working conditions. Schools can likewise help

diminish educator stress by advancing successful teacher

understanding connections. One approach to achieve this is by

utilizing system that reward positive understanding practices.

Educators additionally need to unsure they deal with themselves

so they can deal with others without effectively thinking about

themselves, educators lose the ability to think about others.

(Ketchell, 2018)

Theoretical Framework

The current study utilizes this framework to organize and

contextualize the teachers experienced after the COVID-19

pandemic.

Anfara and Mertz (2015) explained the theoretical frameworks

were “any empirical or quasi-empirical theory of social and/or

psychological processes, at a variety of levels that can be

applied to understand the phenomena'' (p. 15). Bloomberg and

Volpe (2016) stated that theoretical and conceptual frameworks

are often interchangeable. For this qualitative research, this

was utilized as the theoretical framework to explore and explain

the phenomena of teaching after the pandemic. It was also used to

illuminate the stress and burnout public and private school

teachers endured working through an unprecedented time in the

history of education.

Blagg, Luetmer and Herold (2020) expanded that many public

and private school teachers faced challenges as they had never

used, understood, or been trained to deliver instruction using.

blended learning prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. This challenge

forced teachers to shift gears as they needed to learn how to

instruct students using new platforms and learn to adjust to ways

to deliver instruction (Blagg & Luetmer, 2020; Herold, 2020;

Scott, 2020). It was also used to illuminate the stress and

burnout public and private school teachers endured while working

through an unprecedented time in the history of education.

Krahenbuhl (2016) stated. This framework supported this study as

teachers were required to be active learners, developing their

skills related to teaching remotely while using virtual

resources. Blagg, Luetmer and Herold (2020) expanded that many

RESPONDENT NUMBER 1: TRANSCRIPT OF RECORD

Question no. 1: What are the notable experiences and

challenges face by you, during the first of face-to-face classes

after the pandemic?

Response: The respondent stated that, “It is difficult for us to

teach students who are addicted to social media, and we are

having a hard time bringing back what the students learned before

the two-year Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ).

Question no. 2: How did you adopt the teaching methods and

strategies to accommodate the transition from online learning to

face-to-face classes?

Response: According to the respondents “Communication is the most

effective strategy we used to facilitate our teaching to students

because if we don’t have communication with your students you

will really struggle dealing with them.”

Question no. 3: What steps were taken to guarantee the health and

Response safety of both students and employees?

: According to the respondents “ We are investing available

resources to implement the health and safety of teachers like me

and especially the student guide from the centers for disease

control and prevention (CDC) and also to keep the students safe

it is necessary to improve the relationship between schools and

keep the inside of the school clean and safe, and it is necessary

to

wear a face mask and maintain social distancing to avoid illness.

TEACHER’S AND EXPERIENCES AND CHALLENGES

The teachers who teach after two years of face-to-face

classes announced that they have experiences and challenges in

teaching students, it is difficult for a teacher to teach because

of two years without face to face classes and because other

students is only focused on the internet, so it is difficult for

them to bring back what the students knew when they were still

studying face to face. According to the teacher the pandemic

affects the life and social emotional of each student, because

all social activities have stopped and the students are cut off

from their teachers with unequal access to the live teaching of

the students and there are few opportunities to meet friends in

person and also those in extracurricular activities.

TEACHING METHODS AND STRATEGIES

According to the teachers Communication is the most effective

strategy they used in teaching when students return to school,

LOPEZ JAENA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Senior High School Department
Lopez Jaena, Murcia, Negros Occidental 6129

because of this they have communication with each other and the

students become comfortable in learning and so that they have

desire to return to school and also to facilitate the work of a

teacher because they have communication with each other.

Health and Safety

The teacher invest resources to implement health and safety

guidance from the centers for disease control and prevention(CDC)

to keep students and teachers safe and improve the ventilation of

schools, and to keep the interior clean and safe of the school

can also purchase personal protective equipment

and can also get additional physical space for example mobile

classroom units so that students can distance themselves within

the classroom. According to the teacher, in order to be healthy

and safe and so that the students and teachers can avoid getting

sick, we can wear face masks and we need to implement Social

Distancing to avoid getting sick among the students and inside

the school.
