It's happened to me recently in the Bronx-- a not-so-young guy on a scooter rammed into
y SUV, knocking himself unconscious-- when he came to, he jumped up and hightailed
of there...
Now I'm left with either a 2k bill, or a jump in my insurance premium to repair a mangled
rear passenger ... See more

Do you actually live in New York? Do you understand that a large % of these
opeds are illegal to operate anywhere. They're not registered, not insured
nd their drivers ride on public streets, in bike lanes and often on sidewalks.
no justification in ramming your car into a moped of course but most
these vehicles don't belong on public streets.

No it isn't. Riding a bike or scooter in traffic is extremely dangerous and risky.

She was arrested on murder AND manslaughter. Make that make sense.
Not condoning the taking of the young man's life, BUT moped riders who damage someone
property and dip can and should expect some form of backlash, especially these days.

No one deserves death because of an idiotic move. Albeit, he may have done it previously.

You cannot kill someone for breaking your car side mirror. I would advise her to call police but
NYC vandalism is allowed.

Why? What could possibly be the reason for using your car to murder someone unless they
a gun and were trying to kill you?
