Definition of inflammation

Efforts to eliminate the trigger of


wounds (infection) in response to
the immune system and to start
the process of wound healing.
Chronic inflammation
Long-lasting inflammation (weekly, monthly even yearly) where
multiple tissue injuries occur and healing takes place
simultaneously under normal conditions.

The presence of lymphocytes and macrophages accompanied by


the proliferation of blood vessels, fibrosis and tissue damage.
Causes of chronic inflammation

Persistent infections by certain MOs (microbacterium,


T.Pallidum, viruses, fungi and parasites).
Long journey of potentially toxic agents.
Eksogen : silicosis
Endogen : aterosklerosis
Autoimmune disease.
Rheumatoid arthritis.
