Brief History
• “Wisma Oemi” Rumah Riset Mahasiswa is a house philanthropically granted by the late Prof. Sri Oemijati for the sake of
nurturing scientific research awareness and capability of students of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia.
• Yayasan Pengembangan Medik Indonesia (YAPMEDI) as a superintendent of the house works collaboratively with
Yayasan Riset dan Pelatihan Respirasi Indonesia (RPRI) to manage activities related with health research aiming to ignite
and enhance impactful health research among the student.
• Some related-activities organized in the house will be, but not limited to
• Research training
• Research protocol development mentorship
• Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Training
• Open grant application (deliver research grant) for undergraduate student
• Incubator for international research grant call
• Hub for global collaboration in tropical disease research
• International student activities facility (accomodation, meeting, studio)

Vision:
"Empowering the next generation of medical scholars through world-class research, training,
and international collaboration for the betterment of global health."

Mission:
• Nurturing Excellence: To instill and nurture research excellence and innovation among
medical students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and curiosity.
• Global Collaboration: To establish a hub for international partnership, particularly in the
domain of tropical disease research, and provide a platform for global scientific
dialogue.
• Access to Opportunities: To equip students with essential resources, mentorship, and
financial support for breakthrough research contributions.
• Holistic Development: To offer students not just academic and research opportunities,
but also holistic growth through international student activities.
Program
1. Medical Research Academy
• A structured program offering training sessions, workshops, and
mentorships in the field of medical research. This includes hands-on training
on research methods, protocol development, evidence-based medicine,
data analysis, systematic review, meta-analysis, and more.
2. Research Grant Program
• An initiative to provide promising undergraduate student researchers with
the funding required to bring their vision to life. This includes both local
grants and an incubator for international grant applications.

3. Global Health Consortium
• A program dedicated to tropical disease research, which would involve
collaborative efforts with international partners and offer platforms for
global dialogues, webinars, conferences, and more.
4. International Student Residency
• A facility that accommodates international students involved in
collaborative research, providing them with a conducive environment for
academic discussions, meetings, and project execution.
