B. For posts mentioned at SI. No. 32 to 36 of Notification, only Skill Tests will
be conducted on the dates and time to be notified by the University.
C. For the posts at SI. No. 6 and SI. No. 8 to 31 the scheme of selection
includes written test and Interview and or Skill Test as indicated below. The
written test consists of two papers. The medium of examination and
interview is English. Paper- |, which is a common and compulsory paper for
all the above posts, consists of 100 objective type questions and carries
maximum 100 marks, with no negative marking for wrong answers.
Duration of Paper — | is two hours. Paper- II will be descriptive testing the
domain knolwdge of carrying maximum 100 marks. The duration of Paper —
listhree hours.
NOTE : The candidates are not allowed to bring any mathematical tables,
calculators, mobiles, any other digital devices and notes into the examination
hall. The candidates are advised to bring HB Pencil, Eraser, Blue Ball pen etc.,
on their own to write the examination.
The Scheme of Examination is as follows:
1. The minimum qualifying marks for Paper | and Paper II separately shall
be 45% for unreserved and EWScategory and 40% for the OBC category
and 35% for SC/ST/PWBD categories.
2. The answer scripts of the candidates for the descriptive test i.e., Paper- Il
shall be evaluated if the candidates secure the minimum qualifying
marks in Paper- |.
3. The marks allocated for the Skill Test, wherever applicable, shall be 50
and the minimum qualifying marks in the Skill Test shall be 25. Marks
scored in Skill Test do not add up to determine the relative merit of the
candidates.
4. Candidates will be called for interview based on combined marks
secured in Paper | and Paper Il.
5. The maximum marks allocated for the interview wherever applicable
shall be 20% of the total of maximum marks of Paper | & II and the
marks secured by the candidate in the interview shall be added to the
HS 4 :marks scored in Paper | and Paper Il or single written (descriptive test)
test as the case may be, for preparation of the merit list
6. If two or more candidates for a post secure equal marks in Combined
Performance, the relative merit amongst such candidates will be decided
based on their marks scored in the Exam leading to their identical
Qualification or based on the higher degree possessed by the candidate,
whichever is applicable.
Notwithstanding the above, the University at its discretion may hold a single
written test (Descriptive Test) and Skill Test, wherever applicable, depending
upon the number of candidates, job requirements (such as posts under
Technical/Laboratory services, Engineering, Information and Communication
Technology, Library services etc.)
The ratio of the number of vacant posts to be filled and the number of
candidates to be called for interview shall not exceed 1:15. In order to comply
with this requirement of maximum ratio, the University may fix higher criteria
at its discretion for the candidates.
If a minimum of three eligible applicants are not available for any vacancy to
appear for the written test/interview, the University may at its discretion re-
advertise the post at least twice after which the University may take
appropriate action with regard to the selection. This is not applicable to
deputation (without absorption).
In case of posts in which there is a provision for holding a common written
test, all the eligible candidates, subject to the minimum 3, may be called for
the written test notwithstanding the maximum prescribed ratio. However, the
successful candidates in the written test may be called for an interview,
wherever required in order of merit subject to a maximum ratio of 1:15.
Services of a scribe will be provided by the University to Visually Handicapped
and Orthopedically Handicapped (in both hands) candidates. The discretion of
the University is final in this regard. The duration of the examination for such
candidates who are allowed to avail the services of ascribe by the University
will be 30 minutes more than the normal duration of time for that Paper. The
skill test or interview will also be according to the ability of such candidates as
decided by the University.Syllabi for the Written Test and Skill Test wherever applicable are indicated
below for each post. The selection is based on the combined merit as indicated
above with due regard to reservations.
