One-Week Naked Menus


Not sure what a week of cooking and eating naked would really look like?
We’ve created two sample menu plans to give you a starting point. The
first assumes that you cook every meal and that each meal is something
different. Honestly, this is a best-case scenario and happens rarely, even at
our house. But it gives you a good sense of how the meals build off of each
other. You’ll see we’ve included the most meal prep on Sunday, and used
those elements (sauces and crackers) throughout the week in different
ways.

The second assumes that you lead a busy life and don’t want to be in the
kitchen all that much. It builds in lots of leftovers and a couple of repeats.
This is more what a week at our household looks like.

Use either of these menus as a guideline. You’ll note we didn’t include any
meals out or any room for your 20 percent indulgence time (we like to
follow the 80:20 rule—80 percent of the time we’re very deliberate and
careful with our eating; the other 20 percent we create space for
indulgences, so that this is a lifestyle we can sustain), which would affect
the week as well.
