sulttaani hunajanmakealla kynällä.
Kesken kaiken hän kohtasi Olaj begin tutkivan katseen, joka yhä
tähysteli häntä, ja hän punehtui korviaan myöten. Hän istui
vastenmielisine tunteineen kuin neuloilla; lisätkäämme tähän tunteja

Kriston teki heti lähtöä, mutta tuskin hän oli ehtinyt ovelle, kun se
aukesi kovalla melulla ja sisään syöksyi Czinna. Hän oli kalpea kuin
lilja, hänen käyntinsä oli horjuvaa, hänen kauneista silmistään herui
kyyneliä.
