Note: Internet Protocol traffic includes both landline broadband and mobile traffic. 1 Petabyte = 1 024 Terabytes (TB) = 1 048 576 Gigabytes (GB) = 1 073 741 824 Megabytes (MB). As a comparison, a chat on Skype would consume 30 MB per minute. Most smartphones store 64 GB or 128 GB of data (apps, music downloads, etc.) per device. 7GB is consumed per hour of Netflix streaming in 4K Ultra HD. The Hubble Space Telescope generates about 10 TB of new data every year.
