Reflection Paper
Participating in the recollection at Sol y Viento was a deeply enriching and
reflective experience that left a lasting impression on my spiritual and personal
journey. The theme centered on profound aspects of life - love for family, love for
God, and the exploration of various love languages. As we delved into discussions
about the significance of these themes, I found myself contemplating the depth of
my connections with family and the spiritual aspects of my life. The serene
environment of Sol y Viento provided an ideal backdrop for such introspection,
allowing me to disconnect from the hustle of daily life and immerse myself in these
meaningful conversations.
Beyond the spiritual aspects, the day was also a celebration of camaraderie
and friendship. The bonding activities, coupled with the delightful meals prepared by
Sol y Viento, created a sense of community and familiarity among us. The moments
of laughter and shared stories during breakfast, lunch, and merienda allowed me to
get to know my classmates on a more personal level. It reinforced the idea that
these connections extend beyond the academic realm, fostering a supportive and
understanding community.
In essence, the recollection at Sol y Viento was not just a break from routine; it
was a journey into self-discovery, spiritual reflection, and strengthened relationships.
The combination of the beautiful surroundings, meaningful discussions, and shared
meals created an environment where I felt a deeper connection to both myself and
those around me. It was a day that reminded me of the importance of love in its
various forms and the significance of fostering genuine connections with family,
friends, and the divine.
