Scenario 1

Straight after school Maryam waits for her brother Imran at the usual spot
near the water fountain. Their mother reminded her they must refresh wudu
and pray salah prior to starting basketball club – before the prescribed time
expires. The pair meet and go straight to the main hall, where their teacher has
given them permission to pray. Maryam uses a compass to identify the
direction of the Qiblah and the two of them pray and head off to basketball
training.

Later, Maryam is walking home with Imran. Their father had instructed them
to walk home together and to stop to pray at the masjid on their way, before it
gets dark. Just as they approach the mosque Maryam reminds Abdullah to
check his shoes before entering, but unfortunately it appears he has stepped in
Najaasah (impurity).
