Legend of the
Magat River
An Inspired Poem

In love's embrace, a couple fair did stand,
Their hearts entwined, on destiny's sweet strand.
A lovely pair, in tender dreams they'd dive,
Two souls as one, in this dance of life.

But she, in shadows, bore a hidden fear,

Insecurities whispered in her ear,
"Would he still love, if my flaws he'd see?"
A question gnawing, like a poison tree.

In grief, she faded, with shame's heavy load,

Her fragile heart in sorrow's river flowed.
Yet he, unwavering, in love's pure light,
Chose to follow, through the darkest night.

At that same river, where they first did meet,

He joined her spirit, love's bond complete.
And as that river grew, its waters wide,
Their love endured, in eternity's tide.
