a sign of good luck. There are crabs in the mud banks and
fireflies at night.

it is full of dangerous animals like tiger and Monitor
Lizard. It is full of rivers with have dangerous fishes in it.

2. The Bengal tiger of the Sundarbans is now an


endangered species. What do you think the government
and World Wildlife Fund are doing to protect them from
getting extinct?
Ans. The Government of India in April 1973, launched
‘Project Tiger’ to promote the conservation and protect
tigers in India. Since then, the Project has helped in
restoring the population and strengthening conservation
efforts for tigers. The Project is one of the largest species
conservation initiatives in the world.
