| who, where, which, that
Relative pronouns are used to link two sentences together. We use them to add further information.
They can be subjects or objects of relative clauses.
‘We use who to refer to people:
I've gor a friend. My friend can speak five languages. -* I've got a friend who can speak five
Tanguages.
We use which to refer to things and animals:
We stayed in a hotel which had a swimming pool.
We use where for places:
This is the house where I grew up.
‘We can use that instead of who / which for people, things and animals
