Cisco Packet Tracer

Assignment Objective: The objective of this assignment is to use packet tracer


and configure various Network devices as instructed in each section.
Lab Environment: To perform this lab you need:
1. Windows Machine
2. Packet Tracer
Lab Tasks:
• Go to https://www.netacad.com/courses/packet-tracer
• Learn Packet Tracer free course: Intro Packet Tracer:
https://www.netacad.com/courses/packet-tracer/introduction-packet-
tracer
• Create account on NETCAD to download Packet Tracer
• If you run into any issues with NETCAD you could use Skill for all and create
and account on it

• Setup & run Packet Tracer on your machine

Section 1:
1. Enroll and complete the Getting Started with Cisco Packet Tracer

Section 2:
Lab 1:
1. Open the File “Basic.pkt” and complete the below task
a. Power on devices and then configure the devices as follows:
b. Configure IP addresses as shown in the diagram
c. Ensure routers can ping each other
d. Configure an enable password of "cisco"
e. Encrypt the enable password
f. Configure a secret password of "cisco123"
g. Configure the first 5 telnet lines and use a line password of cisco on
them
h. Make sure you can telnet from one device to the other
i. Configure a console password of "cisco" and test
j. Change Hostname to Student Name performing Lab
2. Once task is done copy paste the configurations from both the routers
Lab 2:
Open the File “Subnetting.pkt” and complete the below task
Configure the network as follows:
1. You have been allocated subnet 192.168.1.0/24.
a. Subnet this into four subnets as follows
b. Subnet 1 for site 1
c. Subnet 2 for the link between R1 and the Internet Router
d. Subnet 3 for site 2
e. Subnet 4 for the link between R2 and the Internet Router
2. Configure the routers per the instructions in the diagram.
3. Configure the switches with the second last IP address in the subnet
4. Configure the DHCP servers with the third last IP address in the subnet.
And configure the DHCP server to allocate IP addresses to the clients
5. Verify that PCs can access cisco.com and facebook.com using their
browsers

Lab 3:

Open the File “Basic VLANs.pkt” and complete the below task
Configure the network as follows:

Configure the network as follows:


1) 3650 = layer 3 switch with IP addresses and interVLAN routing:
VLAN 1 = 10.1.1.254/24
VLAN 10 = 10.1.10.254/24,
VLAN 20 = 10.1.20.254/24
VLAN 30 = 10.1.30.254/24,
VLAN 100 = 10.1.100.254/24
2) Access layer switches will only have management IP addresses in VLAN 1:
Switch 1 = 10.1.1.1/24
Switch 2 = 10.1.1.2/24
Switch 3 = 10.1.1.3/24
3) Configure access ports as follows:
PC1 in VLAN 10 - 10.1.10.10/24
PC2 in VLAN 20 - 10.1.20.20/24
PC3 in VLAN 30 - 10.1.30.30/24
Server1 in VLAN 100 - 10.1.100.100/24
4) Configure ports between switches as trunks
5) Make sure that PCs can ping each other and the server
6) Make sure that switches can ping the PCs and server
