Rt. Hon'ble Prime Minister of Nepal's Official Visit to India:
The official visit of Rt. Hon'ble Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal
'Prachanda' to India is scheduled on 31st May – 3rd June 2023, at the invitation
of the Prime Minister of India, His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi.The Rt. Hon.
Prime Minister's entourage will comprise Ministers, Secretaries, and senior
officials of the Government of Nepal, and will be accompanied by a sizeable
business delegation from the private sector of Nepal.
During the visit, the Rt. Hon'ble Prime Minister is scheduled to pay a courtesy
call on the President of India Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, and Vice
President of India His Excellency Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar. The Rt. Hon. Prime
Minister will hold delegation-level talks with His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi,
Prime Minister of India, on 1 June 2023. A joint press meet by the two Prime
Ministers will be held after the talks.
The visit will further solidify Nepal and India's long-standing, cordial and multi-
faceted relations between Nepal and India.
India-Nepal Business Summit in New Delhi:
During the visit, Rt. Hon'ble Prime Minister will address "Nepal-India Business
Summit" in New Delhi, and interact with business leaders from both countries.
The Summit is jointly organized by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII),
and will be held at 1800 hrs on Thursday 1st June 2023, at Hotel ITC Maurya,
New Delhi.
The objective of organizing the Summit is to provide a platform to explore
prospects and opportunities to further enhance business to business, as well as
investment relations between Nepalese and Indian business communities.
CII is a MoU partner of FNCCI. Over the years, both FNCCI and CII have taken
several initiatives in fostering Nepal-India Economic Relationship. Both the
FNCCI and CII have been working tirelessly in strengthening economic relations
between Nepal and India. Over the years, CII and FNCCI have taken several
initiatives in promoting bilateral economic engagement between the businesses
of both countries.
FNCCI is the nationally and internationally recognized umbrella organization of
business in Nepal. Organized as a representative body of business
organizations in the country, it represents the interests of the private sector and
is involved in promotion of socio economic development of Nepal through
private sector led economic growth.
The FNCCI membership is comprised of:121 District/ Municipality-level
chambers, 123 Commodity/ Sectoral Associations, 1762 Leading public and
private sector undertakings, and 20 Bi-national Chambers. The FNCCI is
represented in almost all national councils / boards / committees / policy
advisory bodies concerned with business and industry.
CII works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development
of India, partnering Industry, Government and civil society, through advisory and
consultative processes. It is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and
industry-managed organization, with around 9000 members from the private as
well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership
of over 300,000 enterprises from 286 national and regional sectoral industry
bodies.
The Summit provides the unique opportunity to the private sectors and other
stakeholders of both nations to pool together ideas and potential joint venture
projects, for collaboration, in the coming days, with new initiatives and directions
for moving toward.
