Reflection Paper: My Gender Identity

When it comes to influence on my gender identity, some of things that influenced me were my
behavior, clothing, and appearance. When I was a kid, I dress up normally and my behavior was just like
a boy. It also didn’t matter whether I was friends with a boy or a girl, I was friendly and shy, so I became
friends with both genders. When I started growing up, gender became an issue for everyone including
me. A boy being friendly with girls would be considered gay, and a female being friendly with a girl
would be considered a tomboy. Because of this issue, some of the people around me avoided in
befriending the opposite gender.
