Matt: I've been thinking, I think it's time to have another child.

Jessica: I don't think so. We're so busy working, we barely have time for Katie.
Matt: You’re right, but the babysitter can take care of the children.
Jessica: Matt, we can't afford to have a babysitter for two kids.
Matt: Yes, yes we can. I'll talk to my boss, I work in a great company, I'm sure they'll give me
a promotion soon.
Jessica: Maybe, but that means you'll have to work more hours, and I already have two jobs. I
don't want a babysitter to raise our daughter for us.
Matt: That's why she needs a sibling, so she doesn't feel lonely when we're working.
Jessica: We don't have space for more people, the rent is expensive but our apartment is
small.
Matt: We can move, find a bigger apartment and pay a little more, I want to give my children
a good life.
Jessica: Okay, let's pretend you get the promotion, we buy a big house, and we have a lot of
money. Katie wouldn't need a sibling anyway, she's a happy child, she has a lot of friends to
hang out with and a lot of activities she can do on her own.
Matt: She spends her time watching videos and playing on the computer, I always played
with my brothers all day and had fun, she can do that too.
Jessica: Sure, we don't know if she will play with her brother, I also have a brother but we are
not that close.
Matt: Nonsense, we're at the perfect age to have another child, stop making excuses.
Jessica: They are not excuses, it is reality. We are fine with our small family. Before we got
married I told you I only wanted one child, and you said that was fine. If you want to have
more on your own, good for you, but I’m not going to have another child.
Matt: What's wrong with you? You never agree with me and you always come home late.
Jessica: I come home late because I work overtime to pay the bills. It's not my fault you
always think the worst.
Matt: You know what, I don't think this is working out, go spend a few days with your mom
to calm down, take Katie with you.
Jessica: Pufffff, what you want is to have the house alone to bring your friends from work, I
know you are very close to the receptionist. I don't need to calm down, I want the divorce,
and of course I'm taking Katie with me.
Matt: Do what you want, I was trying to have another child to save the marriage, but the truth
is that I don't love you anymore.
Jessica: Fine, we'll go.
Matt: *sadness*
