EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The major goals of the internship are to improve communication skills and add
new personality traits. The need to complete the internship to satisfy the
BBA program's requirements is another consideration. An intern prepares for
an internship to get practical experience in the working world. The goal of this
internship is to gain practical experience in the Public relation sectors for the
Suvidha foundation web and product.
I've covered the entire building PUBIC RELATION Tactics, marketing
management procedures, and business practises of Public relation in this
study. The marketing manager at this organisation is also responsible for facility
and general marketing efforts, as well as orientation, training, motivation,
performance evaluation, etc. I, by my own, has gone through the reaction of
people while presenting our views in front of them. This internship has
unquestionably sharpened my abilities, increased my persuasiveness while also
cultivated a more patient disposition. The majority of the 60 targeted
respondents in the survey that I ran expressed a strong interest in our proposal.
I have tried my level best to give more and more business to the company and
to develop a more skilful personality that can convince people very easily as we
all know that convincing is one of the most important parts of marketing.
During my internship I gained practical knowledge on how a Public relation
team works in the field. The job of a View representer is a job that need
patience. Marketing executives aim to maximise profits and increase the
number of customers through developing sales strategies that match customer
requirements and by promoting products, services, or ideas.
Not only that I have also gained insight into the working culture of the
organization and observed how Suvidha Foundation services handles its
employees with value and empowerment to ensure they are motivated to give
their best to the organization. The report starts with the introduction of Public
Relation, then introduction to the company, giving its background, mission,
vision, its products and services, the hierarchy and organogram of the
organization. Each chapter contains detailed discussion of the Marketing
functions followed by Organization Practice at Suvidha foundation Services
which basically conveys how NGO Works For the welfare of the society then
there is the analysis of market with charts. And further, there is the conclusion
followed by references.
CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

Suvidha Mahila Mandal is a non-profit organization working to impart

education among the financially challenged sections to help them realize

parity in education and strength of little minds in building a promising

future.

Project: Widow Support

The NGO supports widows by providing them with monthly grocery, medical
treatment, and also education to their children. Apart from this they support
them through their project called Socio-Economic Empowerment of Women.
They provide them with rural based skill training to make them self-sufficient
and further aid them to manage credits so that they can safeguard their hard
earned money and multiply their savings. Upliftment of widows socially and
financially is one of their primary objectives.
Project: Ability Development
Skills transform lives and drive economies. Without adequate investment in
skills, people languish on the margins of society, technological progress does
not translate into economic growth, and a society is unable to compete in an
increasingly
knowledge-based global arena.
People with poor skills face a much greater risk of experiencing economic
disadvantage, and a higher likelihood of unemployment and dependency on
social benefits. Skills affect people's lives and the well-being of nations also in
ways that go far beyond what can be measured by labour-market earnings and
economic growth.
Project: Women Empowerment Centre
To promote or undertake activities for the promotion of, or to provide credit as
an instrument of socio-economic change and development through the
provision of financial and social development services for the upliftment of
women. To support women to become independent in spirit, in thought, in
action and have full control over their lives rather than be the victim of the
actions of others. This particular project by the organisation aims to achieve
socio-economic empowerment of women through their operational units.

1.1.1 AWARENESS:
To put it simply, how many people are aware of the brand? Typically, awareness
is measured using an overview that asks members to agree on statements like
which brand comes to mind when you wish to buy an online course?
Organisations assess unassisted awareness overall. how many respondents to
the poll mentioned the brand without providing any kind of context.

1.1.2 BRAND:
A brand is anything, an idea, or a service that is clearly distinguished from
other things, ideas, or services with the intention of being successfully
communicated and broadly showcased. A brand name is the name of an
unquestionable good, concept, or service. The process of creating and
dispersing a brand name is called branding. The concept of branding may be
used to describe a company's overall image as well as specific services and
product names.

1.1.3 BRAND AWARENESS:

Brand awareness refers to the probability that customers are aware of the
existence and accessibility of the goods. It is the extent to which customers
unquestionably connect the brand with the specific product. According to past
information about the brand, it is approximated as a ratio of specialised show
case. Both brand recognition and brand recall are included in brand awareness.
Types of Brand Awareness:
Advertisers distinguish two kinds of brand awareness namely Brand
recognition and Brand recall. These sort of awareness work in
completely extraordinary ways with imperative implication for
marketing strategy and advertising.

 Brand Recall:
Brand recall is also called as unaided recall or spontaneous
recall and refers to the capacity of buyers to accurately evoke a
brand name from memory when incited by a product
classification. Brand recall demonstrates a relatively good
connection between a classification and brand while brand
recognition shows a weaker connection. At the point when
incited by a product classification most buyers can just recall a
moderately little set of brands, ordinarily around 3-5 brands. In
consumer test, couple of customers can recall more than 7
brand names inside a given classification and for low interest
product classes, most buyers can just recall a couple of brand
names.

 Brand Recognition:
Brand Recognition is also called as aided recall and refers to the
capacity of the customer to effectively separate the brand when
they encounter it. This does not require that the consumer
recognizes the brand name. Or maybe, it suggests that buyers
can see the brand when given it at the purpose of sale or in the
wake of recall its visual bundling. As opposed to mark review,
where couple of purchases can recall brand names
spontaneously in each of category, when provoked with a brand
name, a bigger number of buyers are commonly ready to
recognize it.
1.1.4 BRAND AWARENESS AND HIERARCHY OF EFFECTS

Stage 1: Awareness – The consumer winds up aware of classification,

products, or brand (normally through promoting)
Stage 2: Knowledge – The consumers find out about the brand (for
e.g., sizes, prices, availability, colours etc.,)
Stage 3: Liking – The consumers build up a positive or favourable
attitude towards the brand.
Stage 4: Preferences – The customers start to rate one brand above
other practically identified brands.
Stage 5: conviction – The consumers show a longing to buy (by
means of assessment examining, trail)
Stage 6: Purchase – The consumers gain the product.
1.1 SCOPE OF THE STUDY:
The research only includes Services from Suvidha foundation. The study aims to
determine the customer's consciousness, impression, perception, and
awareness of Public relation. The study also assisted in determining how brand
perception among consumers affected:
a) To know and attract towards the brand name of Suvidha Foundation
b) Find the connection between the quality of service and brand name
Suvidha foundation
c) Find the fulfilment dimension of the customer in various ways towards
the Suvidha foundation
d) To know to consumers awareness to brand in Nagpur and nearby region

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research approach
The research approach is the way of thinking behind the exploration
technique and strategy. The examination theory contains the presumptions
in regards to the perspective of the world. The scholastic researchers
generally accept Interpretivism or positivism as the exploration approach
for an investigation. The analyst applied positivism as the examination
approach for the current investigation. Positivism clarifies the
connections between two factors in a quantifiable way. For example, in
the ebb and flow research study, the scientist will in general inspect the
connection between online media and advertising of charitable
associations. The specialist means to keep a target position which is the
primary nature of positivist methodology.
Research design
The current literature provides sufficient theoretical basis which implies
that social media plays a positive role in marketing of nonprofit
organizations. Therefore, in this regard, deductive reasoning is used for
the study as the aim of deductive reasoning is to test an existing theory.
Deductive approach establishes the correlation between theory and data.
It is based on existing assumptions. The current research conducts a
survey to analyze the existing theory regarding the role of social media in
marketing of nonprofit organizations.

Methods
Primarily, there are two types of research methods namely, qualitative and
quantitative. The selection of the research method depends on the nature
and purpose of a specific study. The aim of current research is to quantify
the role of social media in marketing of nonprofits. Therefore,
quantitative research method is the best suited for the topic. A quantitative
research method involves the collection of measurable data and an
analysis which establishes the relationship between theory and data. Such
kind of research presents an objective concept of reality The present
study aims to make generalizations which rely on the process of research
and investigation; therefore, it is structured and formalized. Moreover, the
researcher is not personally involved with the research process. During
the conduction of the survey, the researcher remains objective.
Data sources
Primary data and secondary data are the two basic sources of data
collection. The research study includes both primary as well as secondary
data. The instrument for primary data collection is the questionnaire
survey. While secondary data is taken from online databases, published
research articles, research books, dissertations etc. The researcher uses
the keywords relevant to the topic in order to find the secondary sources
of data. Websites such as Google Scholar, Google Semantics, Research
gate etc. are utilized for gathering the secondary data.
Questionnaire survey
For primary data collection, questionnaire survey is employed. The
Questionnaire are generated through Google forms and circulated among
potential respondents. The questions in the questionnaire survey are
designed to collect the opinion of the respondents. Likert style of rating is
utilized which entails to find out how strongly a respondent agrees or
disagrees with the statement. The purpose of conducting the survey is
explained to the respondent in an email. The questionnaire is dispersed
among selected respondents through their email ids. The researcher is not
be directly involved during the survey which would ensure transparency
of the results.

Sampling

A sample of 20 respondents is taken to collect the data. The sample is

selected through nonprobability sampling (Convenience sampling). The
managers of nonprofit organizations are taken as the sample. The
researcher selected the respondents who were easily available for
undertaking the survey. Due to the Covid-19, it was not easy to find
potential respondents; therefore, convenience sampling is utilized as the
mode of sample selection. The researcher conducted the survey with the
managers who were easily accessible for the conduction of the research.
Data Analysis
The data generated through the survey is ordinal as the answers are in the
form of rating. Diagrams are used to present the data statistics and
explore the findings. The researcher is able to understand the results in a
clear manner through the diagrammatical representations. The statistical
findings will be interpreted in a descriptive way by the researcher. The
results of the primary data are corroborated through the findings of the
secondary data. The researcher uses secondary data to enhance the
validity and reliability of the research findings.
Ethical considerations
Adherence to ethical consideration is a vital requirement for all students
and staff members at the Edinburg Napier University. During the
conduction of the research survey, some ethical concerns may arise.
Therefore, the researcher ensured that the ethical guidelines stated by the
university were maintained. The following ethics were taken into
consideration during the process of the research:

Confidentiality
Maintaining confidentiality is imperative. The trust of a participant can be
breached if his/her personal information is not safely handled or stored.
The researcher ensured complete confidentiality of the information
provided by the participant. The personal information of the respondent
will not be disclosed to anyone.
Informed consent
It is important to inform the participant regarding the purpose of the
research survey. If complete information is not provided to the
participant, he/she might agree to the survey without understanding the
specifications regarding their responses. Therefore, the researcher took
the consent of the participant after providing required information
regarding the nature of the study.
Anonymity
The researcher ensured that the personal information of the respondents is
kept
anonymous.
Persuasion and pressure
The participants were not pressured or coerced to take part in the
research. They were informed regarding the research and were provided
the option to opt out of the survey process if they were not willing to
participate.

"Challenges faced by NGOs working on women's empowerment
initiatives in India: Addressing systemic barriers for sustainable
change"
Working on women's empowerment initiatives can be challenging for NGOs in

India due to a range of factors. Here are some of the main challenges they may

face:

1. Lack of Funding: NGOs may struggle to secure adequate funding to

support their women's empowerment initiatives, which can limit their

ability to reach a larger audience and sustain their programs over time.

2. Limited Access to Resources: NGOs may have limited access to

resources, such as technology, transportation, and staff, which can limit

their ability to implement their programs effectively and efficiently.

3. Cultural Barriers: NGOs may face cultural barriers when working on

women's empowerment initiatives, as some communities may resist

changes that challenge traditional gender roles and norms.

4. Lack of Awareness: Some women may not be aware of the services and

support that NGOs offer, which can limit their ability to access these

resources and benefit from them.

5. Resistance from Family and Community Members: Women may face

resistance from their family and community members when trying to

participate in NGOs' programs, which can limit their ability to benefit

from the services and support provided.

6. Limited Government Support: NGOs may face challenges in securing

support from the government for their women's empowerment initiatives,

which can limit their ability to scale their programs and reach a larger

audience.

7. Limited Capacity: NGOs may have limited capacity to deliver services

and support to large numbers of women, particularly in remote and rural

areas.

8. Limited Access to Education and Training: Many women in India may

lack access to education and training, which can limit their ability to

benefit from NGOs' programs and services.

9. Language Barriers: NGOs may face language barriers when working with

women from diverse linguistic backgrounds, which can limit their ability

to communicate effectively and deliver services that are culturally

sensitive.
10.Sustainability: NGOs may struggle to sustain their women's

empowerment initiatives over the long term, particularly if they are

dependent on external funding or lack a sustainable business model.

11.Political Instability: Political instability and conflicts in certain parts of

India may pose challenges for NGOs working on women's empowerment

initiatives, as they may face security risks and logistical challenges.

12.Limited Access to Healthcare: Many women in India may lack access to

basic healthcare services, which can limit their ability to benefit from

NGOs' programs and services that focus on women's health and well-

being.

Addressing these challenges requires a multi-faceted approach that involves

building partnerships and networks, advocating for policies that support

women's empowerment, and addressing systemic issues such as gender

inequality, poverty, and lack of access to education and healthcare .

CHAPTER VI:

LEARNING EXPERIENCE
We had wonderful experience while working with volunteers of JV
Smileys Foundation. We always heard that it feels great to help
others and keep others safe and we loved to provide our
contribution to them. We interned with a positive attitude, good
work ethic and a willingness to get involved wherever it was
needed. We learned a lot while volunteering in the Ngo. The
internship with JV Smileys Foundation can be described through
some lasting memories that we managed to collect. When we first
met our mentor, Mrs. Poonam at our NGO before starting our work
he wanted us to know about the background of the NGO and their
different centers.

He took us to the different centers which were located in the slum

areas, his main intention was to make us realise about the
conditions and the background from which the students were
coming. The children came from a background, where there was
no atmosphere of education. Their parents keep migrating, hence
even if they learn something, they tend to forget. Lack of interest
and support hinder their educational growth. He explained the
problems and the situations faced by these children which made
us realise how comfortably we are living. We likewise observed the
difficulties that are engaged with the administration of a NGO. We
can envision how hard it must be to oversee more than 100
children of different age groups. We were given different task each
day so that we had an overall idea and knowledge about the work
done by the Ngo such as teaching students, concentrating on their
overall development, field work, organizing health camp, create
awareness etc. By assigning different task each day it gave us an
overview of the work. We learned how to manage different task
simultaneously within given time frame. It was a task to go around
the home and gather the kids. Then they were to be held in a room
by one volunteer, while the other went around looking for some
more. While some of them were very enthusiastic to learn, others
considered themselves just too cool to stay put. One very typical
scene would be that two kids would start fighting and while we
made efforts to stop them, others would become spectators. But
When we would manage to get the two kids to negotiate, we would
look up only to find the room empty. Members and employees of
the NGO supported us a lot, and gave us ideas also. Atmosphere
there was awesome, close to nature, peaceful, we got to know
individuals who have dedicated their entire lives for the
improvement of society; with no self - pick up or ravenous rationale
behind it. They picked social work as their calling; since they
needed to do it, not for picking up attention or profiting; but rather
for the fulfillment of delight of giving. Respect for them truly. The
main thing which we have learned from this internship is to keep
ourselves involved in all these kinds of social work as it make us
realise how beautiful our life become when we are their foe others
in need and it gives us a ray of hope as well as the blessed feeling
which is not at all easy to get these days. Despite all the hurdles it
truly moved us to offer back to the society. our overall experience
gave us another angle to look and contribute towards our society.

In the state of Bihar, where I reside, I went to visit a care-taking

facility for needy children run by an NGO. There are many children
of all age groups there. I was in- between Jobs, and went there
thinking I will donate my time and knowledge in helping these
children as a volunteer, soon I realized I was the one receiving.....

The children I met there were so full of enthusiasm and love for
life, just meeting them filled me with joy and happiness; I loved the
time I spent with them.

Conclusion
It was truly an enlightening and enriching experience for me to
intern with an NGO. While supporting the wonderful causes of
NGOs during my internship, resulted in the bi-product of me
developing a lot of professional skills that I am sure I would benefit
from, in my career in the future.

For the first time, I got a feeling of working professionally, working

with great accountability and shouldering huge amount of
responsibility. This has surely helped me evolve my work ethics.

This internship also taught me the challenges and obstacles that

am employee might have to face and still has to go all out in the
zone of discomfort only with the sole aim of delivering his work to
perfection.

This internship, has surely helped me evolve a lot as a professional

human being with discipline and dedication. With the networks I
developed, I am looking forward to contribute again in such a
domain with my skills and expertise as a tool for the development
of the not so privileged society in our country.

This internship was also an eye opener for me to understand the

condition of the downtrodden people in our society and the
hardships faced by non profit organisations in optimizing their
costs and resources for their functioning. No doubt this internship
experience upheld a lot of life realities in front of me which I did not
understand being a student in an institution only.

CHAPTER VIII

DATA ANALYSIS
Impediments in Empowerment 4.6.1 Violence against women and girls (VAWG)
is one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights
violations in the world and remains largely unreported due to the impunity,
silence, stigma and shame surrounding it. In general terms, it manifests itself in
physical, sexual and psychological forms, encompassing: • Intimate partner
violence (battering, psychological abuse, marital rape, femicide); • Sexual
violence and harassment (rape, forced sexual acts, unwanted sexual advances,
child sexual abuse, forced marriage, street harassment, stalking,
cyberharassment); • Human trafficking (slavery, sexual exploitation); • Female
genital mutilation; and • Child marriage.
2019-21 but it is still quite high.

On examination of the data for the years 2016 to 2021 it can be observed that

three major crimes viz. Cruelty by Husband and Relatives, Assault on women

with intent to outrage her modesty and Kidnapping & Abduction constituted

more than 70% of the total crime committed against women with the rate of

Cruelty by Husband and Relatives faced by women in their own house

accounting for one-third of all crimes. The data shows that compromising the

safety of women starts from home itself. The policy makers can address this

issue by enforcing the existing laws and spreading awareness on their

provisions among both men and women. It may also be noted that the above

analysis and interpretation is on the basis of FIRs registered (gathered by NCRB)

and the number could be on a higher side if the unregistered cases are also

taken in to account.
Data on distribution of rape victims by age-group show that (Table 6.3) majority

of the rape victims are in the age group of 18-30 years. The probable reason

behind the high numbers in this specific age group may be that the females in

this age group are coming under “labour force” category requiring travel

between workplace and home. Further, late working hours and site work place

could also be a reason. However, the fact is that such conditions should not be

a burden or barrier to women in their fundamental right to “work and earn”.

Various measures have already been taken by the government viz. an act to

prevent sexual harassment at work place, women help line etc. Still, more

needs to be done in the area of gender sensitisation. Lower percent in the less

than 16 years age group could also be due to non-reporting in the fear of

social-stigma
In India, suicide is an emergency and serious public health issue. Physical and

mental illness, disturbed interpersonal relationships and economic difficulties

could be the major reasons for suicide. From 2004 onwards, a mixed trend was

observed in suicide rate in India. The highest ever suicide rate of 12 per lakh

population was recorded in 2021. From 2004 to 2011, the ratio of male to

female suicide incidence remained constant at 1.8 but from 2012 onwards, it

started rising and reached at 2.6 in 2021. Women and girls with disabilities

face systemic marginalization and attitudinal and environmental barriers that

lead to their lower economic and social status; increased risk of violence and

abuse, including sexual violence; discrimination as well as harmful

genderbased discriminatory practices; and barriers to access education, health

care, including sexual and reproductive health, information and services, and

justice as well as civic and political participation. This hinders their participation

on an equal basis with others. For addressing their problems through focussed

policies and programmes, there is need to have a robust system of data

collection mechanism on disability. Compared to health, education,

employment etc, data on disability is very scarce. Administrative records like

the disability certificate etc have partial coverage. Disability questions are

included in the population census but we have had no census after 2011. The

Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation conducted a Survey of

Persons with Disabilities during July 2018 to December 2018 as a part of 76th

round of National Sample Survey (NSS). In NSS 76th round survey, for

classification of disabilities, all the specified disabilities as stated in The Rights

of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 were considered. As per this survey,

percentage of differently abled person was 1.9% for females and 2.4%for

males.

CHAPTER IX
FINDINGS
Suvidha foundation is working hard to empower women from the beginning.
Till now they are working for betterment of rural women. Several projects were
met successfully to the goals and many other projects are currently running to
empower the rural women.

Women are getting opportunity to have their own earning sources. Through
several projects
such as “Nari Garments”, “Livestock rearing”, “Tissue culture and Sericulture”,
“Broiler rearing”, women are getting opportunity to earn and support their
family financially.

Educated women are getting opportunity to earn by teaching children through

Child Development Center.

Rural women are getting adequate health care service. Rural women were

unaware of their health issues and hygiene we have taken several initiatives to

overcome these problems. Eye Camps are arranged to provide free cataract

operations. Women are considered to be the main target of this

project. Moreover 24 villages are covered by Hazi gong Bazar Rural Hospital

where the people do not have any proper excess to health care facilities causing

high mortality and morbidity. Through hospital facilities women and children

are specially benefited. These facilities include safe motherhood and training

and proper education.

Consciousness of education for their children is starting to emerge among the

women. Free study tools such as books, pencils, notebooks, are delivered to the
students, we also provides food to the children that meets the required nutrition.

Rural women get a reasonable amount from Suvidha’s roadside tree plantation
project after a specific
period and with that money they can set up a business as well as buy lands.
Another reason that Suvidha took this project is to promote environmental
awareness and protection.

Women are regaining their social recognition through jobs provided by different
projects of Suvidha foundation. Leadership is starting to show up among
women through committee authorized. Through the managing committee
authorized by Child Development Centre, Women are getting social
designation. Thus, inferior mentality among women is gradually dropping.
