Research work
1. ROUNDUP READY SOYBEAN - It has been disputed what effect GMOs,
notably Roundup Ready soybeans, have. Proponents contend that they
can boost crop yields and lessen the need for more herbicides, which may
be more hazardous. Critics voice worries about the effects on the
environment, possible health problems, and the emergence of weeds
resistant to herbicides. The goal of ongoing study and legislative actions
is to evaluate and resolve these problems.

2. GOLDEN RICE - A genetically engineered crop called golden rice is

intended to fight vitamin A deficiency. Critics voice worries about safety
and the impact on the environment, while supporters view it as a way to
combat starvation. The impact is contingent upon its effective
implementation, regulatory clearance, and community buy-in.

3. AQUADVANTAGE SALMON - Salmon that has been genetically

engineered by AquaBounty, or AquAdvantage salmon, grows more
quickly than regular salmon. Proponents claim it can lessen overfishing,
satisfy the demand for seafood, and have a minimal negative influence
on the environment. The safety of altered creatures in general as well as
possible ecological problems in the event that transgenic salmon escapes
into the wild are concerns raised by critics. In order to evaluate and
address these issues, continuing research and regulatory actions are
essential.

4. BT CORN - In order to provide resistance against specific pests, Bt corn is

genetically engineered to produce a toxin from the Bacillus thuringiensis
(Bt) bacteria. Higher yields of crops, a decrease in the need for chemical
pesticides, and financial gains for farmers are some of the effects of Bt
corn. Concerns have been expressed concerning non-target organisms
and the possibility of target pests developing resistance. The goal of
ongoing study and regulatory monitoring is to resolve these problems
and weigh the advantages and disadvantages of growing Bt corn.
