1. Musical examples: Using the class handout, prepare 2 musical examples to use in the
final paper. Include a label line and footnote for each, and either photocopy, scan, or use
notation software to position each musical excerpt directly below the corresponding label
line. Draw in any indications needed to clarify the musical point(s) you wish to make
with each example and precede each example with one prose sentence that summarizes
this musical point. (On your copy of the final paper outline, indicate for your own use
where these examples will now fit.)
