The equipment is heavy. To prevent human injuries or equipment damage, always use a lifting device to transport or position the equipment. Use a pallet truck or heavy-duty bogie wagon to transport the equipment on even ground, and use a cargo lift to transport the equipment between different floors. If the equipment room does not have a cargo lift, a stair-cimbing truck is recommended to transport the equipment between different floors. NOTICE ESD Protection Always wear ESD gloves or an ESD wrist strap prior to contact with the equipment or before handling devices, boards, or IC chips to prevent damage fo sensitive components due to electrostatic discharge from the human body. Ensure that the ESD wrist strap is properly grounded. ESD jacks on P32 subrack ESD jacks on UPS mare dir [ees Binding cables Binding intervals between cable ties or optical fiber binding straps inside the cabinet cannot exceed 250 mm. (Binding intervals cannot exceed 200 mm for user cables.) Binding intervals between cable ties for all cables and corrugated pipes outside the cabinet are determined based on the distance between the two horizontal beams of the overhead cable tray. If the cable trough does not contain any beams, the binding intervals between cable ties cannot exceed 250 mm. Horizontal beams of the overhead cable tray NOTICE ‘Checking before installation Ensure that the equipment room, cabinets, power supplies, ground cables, optical cables, and associated devices are ready for installation. Start the installation according to the engineering design documents after confirming that all conditions are met. fous Requirements for the Installation Position of the Air Conditioner in the Equipment Room Ifthe distance between a cabinet and the air exhaust vent of an air conditioner is less than 3 m, ensure that the relative humidity in the ‘equipment room is lower than 75% to prevent condensation in the cabinet. Requirements and Precautions for Operating Boards (DO note The specifications and appearances of different boards may be different, but you still need to follow the operation instructions when using boards. [oes ‘Always wear ESD gloves or an ESD wrist strap prior to operating a board to prevent damage to sensitive components. Operating @ board without ESD Wearing ESD gloves Wearing an ESD wrist strap protection NOTICE Hold the front panel of a boare with both hands. *Any vacant slot must be covered by 4 filer panel to prevent foreign objects from entering the subrack ‘or system ventilation ducts. Foreign objects may cause an NE failure. *Boards are fragile and vulnerable. When transporting or placing a board, exercise caution and ensure that the board is packed in a dedicated box to protect the board against damage. “Boards must be packed with original packaging materials during transportation. Otherwise, the normal running of the product will be affected Board areas lust FAN + Slot IDs of the boards in area A: IU5 to 112, + Slot IDs of the boards in area B: 1U21 to 1U28 + Slot IDs of the boards in area C: U17 to 1U20, 1U29 to 1U32, + Slot IDs of the boards in area D: 1U1 to IU4, 1U13. tolU16 Principles for installing boards + Installation sequence of optical line boards: A -> B >C>D + Installation sequence of optical tributary boards: D >C>B>A + The 20-degree optical tributary and line boards can be installed only in slots 1U1—IU20, and cannot be installed in area B or the right side of area C (note When the preceding board installation sequence is met: + Because there are a few optical fibers on the front panels of optical line boards, install the optical line boards in each area from left to right. Example: If there are three optical line boards, preferentially install the three optical line boards in slots IUS-IU7 of area A from left to right in sequence. + Because there are a large number of optical fibers on the front panels of optical tributary boards, to facilitate future expansion using optical fibers, install the optical tributary boards from edge side to the middle in sequence. Example: During the installation in area D, if there are two OT3232 optical tributery boards, you need to select the area with the most convenient fiber routing according to the actual environment. Assume that the left-side area D is selected. Preferentially use slots IU1 and U2, and then use slots IU3 and U4 in sequence. Assume that the right-side area D is selected. Preferentially use slots IU16 and 1U15, and then use slots IU14 and IU13 in sequence. Installing Service Boards CQnote To ensure smooth ventilation of a subrack and protect boards inside the subrack, pay attention to the following points: 1. OXC filler panel must be installed for all vacant slots. 2. Boards must be installed or maintained one by one. Every time you remove a board (or an OXC filler panel) from a slot, immediately install an OXC filler panel (or a new board) into the slot. Do not remove multiple boards (or OXC filler panels) and then install corresponding OXC filler panels (or new boards) into the slots ata time. NOTE The installation of service boards must comply with the board insertion principles. After the board is replaced, the operator waits for the feedback from the NMS to check the insertion loss inspection result (the inspection time is about 12 minutes). f the insertion loss is abnormal, remove the board and use the OXC cleaning too! to clean the optical interface of the backplane and the optical interface of the board. For details, see chapter "Cleaning Boards”. @ Loosen screws on an OXC filler panel and raise @ Take out the blue dust plug of the optical the ejector levers on both ends of an OXC filler interface on the backplane side of the board, panel, and pull out the OXC filler panel. © Tur the ejector levers on both @) Hold the ejector levers inwards @ Use a screwdriver to sides of the board to the maximum to secure the board in the slot. unfasten the screws at the langle, and then steadily insert the During the push process, the ‘two ends on the front panel board along the guide rails until the Secure connection of the of the board, optical connector makes a board cannot slide forward. lick sound Hi Installing/Routing Cables rs edeuba keri When overhead cabling is required When underfloor cabling is required: Lead power cables into the cabinet through + Lead power cables into the cabinet through cable hole b. cable hole g or h, lead the power cables to cable Lead the NM and alarm cables into the hole a through cable hole d, and then connect, i them to the PDU.
