Dear The Queer Emporium,

I have always loved visiting the Queer Emporium, so I was super eager to apply for this part-time
job when I saw the advertisement on your social media. Though I am an entry-level applicant and
do not currently have barista training, I’m very passionate about learning and am planning to start
a flexible barista job in early July alongside this job if I am chosen. Aside from this, I’m very
prepared to perform tasks such as assisting in the shop, restocking, setting up and ensuring the
shop is presentable as these are all tasks I completed when working as a shop assistant at a local
cancer charity shop. I also have events experience from being Head Student at my school in which
I organised and hosted events such as open mics and food drives for the charity Red Cross,
where I have been able to reform my organisational and communication skills.

As a queer person-of-colour myself, who is nonbinary and pansexual, being able to work at
pride-related events would be a dream come true and a role I would bring passion and enthusiasm
to. This role would be a perfect fit for me as I am looking to enter the customer service industry
particularly with brands who wish to make a positive influence on minority communities in society
as this is something I care deeply about.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Sincerely,

Juno (they/he)
