The Australia Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) is a temporary visa required to enter the
country. Travelers need a valid Australian visa to do tourist activities, go on a cruise,
or visit friends and family in the country.

What can and can’t you do with the Australia Visitor Visa?

Certain rules apply to the Australian Visitor Visa. Check them out below.

With an Australia Visitor Visa, you can:

 Travel to Australia for tourism and to go on a cruise.


 Visit friends and family (if you’re sponsored by immediate family members
that live in Australia).

 Do business activities such as negotiating contracts or attending trade fairs or


conferences.

 Study or do a short course for a maximum of three months in Australia.

The Australia Visitor Visa does not permit you to:

 Work or sell goods.


 Participate in a trade fair or conference if you are paid by the organizer.

 Study or do a course for longer than three months.

 Travel to Australia for health reasons, such as to undergo medical treatment.

What are the required documents to apply for this Visa?

To apply with VSI, you will need certain documents:

 A copy of your current valid passport showing your photo, personal details,
and passport issue and expiration dates, as well as the pages that have
immigration stamps.
 A copy of your KTP ID

 Applicant photo.

 Documents proving you can support your trip during your stay, such as bank
statements or financial assets. The requirments are 10million IDR per month
for the visa duration.

 Documents showing that you are employed or studying in your home country.

 Return flight tickets for the trip.


 Travel itinerary or any evidence of planned tourism activities in Australia,
hotel bookings, excursion tickets.

 Letters from your relative or friend in Australia, inviting you to visit, if


applicable.

 A police report.

 Birth certificate in english.

What are the most inportant things that the Australian Department of Home
Affairs consider?

 To approve your Visitor Visa, the Australian Department of Home Affairs


evaluates carefully your financial situation. Therefore, you must have a regular
income or financial incentives that will make you return to Indonesia at the
end of your proposed stay.
 Besides demonstrating strong financial, or employment ties, the Australian
government also evaluates if you have personal ties (wife, children, house,
land etc) to your home country, to depart Australia at the end of your
authorised temporary stay.
