Airport pick up, drop off / Transportation

Pre-paid taxis are available at the airport. If you are visiting Kathmandu for the first time,
we would advise you to get your hotel/guest-house to arrange your airport pick up and
drop off.

With all forms of transport within Nepal, you will need to know and agree on a price first
before into the vehicle.

Weather
August - September is the rainy season and it could be cloudy during this period with
temperature in the 20°c - 29°c. With the rain, there is an increase in mosquitoes so bring
along a mosquito repellant or they are easily available at local pharmacies.

Power plug and socket


The power plugs and sockets are of type C, D and M. .

• Type C: also known as the standard "Euro" plug with two round pins. This
socket also works with plug E and plug F.
• Type D: three round pins mainly used in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and some
African countries. This socket only works with plug D.
• Type M: looks like plug D but with larger pins. This socket only works
with plug M.
