intro: How to change Password Policies in Windows Server 2003
Hi, This instuctable is for your server.
It will allow you to make simple passwords that aren't hard to remember.
Normally Win Server requires a 7 char long password.
Make sure you have server 2003.

step 1: Getting to the Policies

To get to the policy editor go to:
Start>Administrative Tools>Domain Security Policy

1. Make sure that you hit Domain Security Policy NOT Domain Controller Security Policy

step 2: Navagate Through the Policy Editor

Go through the policy editor this way:
Account Policies>Password Policy

step 3: Setup The Policies

Now its time to setup the policies.
Make sure that the password age settings are not defined.
Make sure that the minimum password length is set too a low number. (4 worked for me)
Make sure that password must meet complexity requirements is disabled.
Then close out of the Security Policy Editor.

 step 4: Update The Policy
Now you must update the policy.
Do this by going to Command Promt (Start>Run>CMD>OK)
Type in "gpupdate /force" (without the quotes)
Then hit enter and wait.
There will be something that says it was completed.
There you go now make short passwords for users.
