The projected increase in the production of oil will result in increased associated gas, The New Strategic Gas Export Pipeline under the Project EF/1943 will increase the gas transmission capacity and reduce flaring. Design capacity will be 900 MMSCED, bringing the total nominal capacity of the three pipelines (Existing 30°, Existing 30°/40” EF/1701 & new 30°/40" EF/1943) to 2230 MMSCFD. The pipeline and associated facilities will be installed between Booster Station (BS) 132 and MAA in parallel to the existing strategic gas pipelines. The new pipeline size will be 30° between BS-132 to NKSC (approximately 13 km) and 40" from NKSC to MAA (approximately 130 km). Project facilities mainly include the following: + North Kuwait Gas Remote Control Room (NKGRC) & South Kuwait Gas Remote Control Room (SKGRC) + New burn pits at NKSC, SKSC (gas and off-spec condensate) & Sectionalizing Valve Stations + One new fiscal gas metering package (at MAA trap area) + Upgrade/ expansion of existing gas custody metering skids at NKSC and SKSC + Condensate Separation/ Treatment package at NKSC & SKSC + Inline Separator packages at MAA Trap Area + Expansion/ configuration! modification of existing ICSS/ SCADA systems at BS-132, NKSC and SKSC + Retrofit of existing condensate pumps at SKSC to handle increased flow. + Upgrade! expansion of existing switchgears (3.3 kV and LV). Other associated facilities of the pipeline inclide Corrosion Monitoring Stations, Sectionalizing Block Valve Stations, Pig Traps, Solar Power System, Cathodic Protection System, Pipeline Leak Detection Systems, Emergency Diesel Generators, Corrosion Inhibitor Storage tanks etc. PURPOSE. The purpose of this procedure is to set out minimum requirements for Structural stee! fireproofing works, which shall comply with the design requirements set forth in scope ‘of work and technical specification of this project “New Strategic Gas Export Pipeline from North Kuwait to MAA” -EF/1943 (KOC), Project as per contract specification. SCOPE This procedure applies specifically and only for the execution of the Project. “New Strategic Gas Export Pipeline from North Kuwait to MAA” as per contract specification. It covers the general requirements for structural steel fireproofing application and inspection related to the Steel Structure in plant / facilities structures, and structural supports for pipe/pipeline and multilevel pipe rack as mentioned drawings.
