Actual Findings
The data shows the most common illnesses reported in Brgy. Calawagay, Cabanatuan City,
include HPN (11 cases) and cough and cold (10 cases). Additionally, there have been isolated cases of
asthma, glaucoma, diabetes, fever, GERD, breast cancer, and CVA, with one case each.

Normal Findings
Hypertension remains a problem in the Philippines due to its increasing prevalence, high rates of
unawareness, low rates of blood pressure control and a poor risk profile. Physicians should be more
aggressive in achieving blood pressure control, especially through the use of drug combinations, and
controlling risk factors through patient education, promoting a healthy lifestyle and smoking cessation
(Sison, 2023).
Analysis and Interpretation
The data shows that hypertension (34%) emerges as the most common condition, followed
closely by cough and cold (30%), reflecting respiratory concerns. Other notable illnesses include fever
(15%), asthma (3%), diabetes (3%), glaucoma (3%), GERD (3%), breast cancer (3%), and
cerebrovascular accident (CVA) with a prevalence of 6%. These findings emphasize the need for targeted
healthcare interventions addressing both respiratory and chronic conditions within the community.
