When it comes to a historical event that I would like to know more, the first one springs
to my mind is Vietnam war, which ends in 1975 - one of the historical highlights of our
country.
I’m sure that all students in Vietnam remember this important event.

Vietnam undergone hundreds of years under the colonization of foreign invaders, and this
is the last war before a new era of peace and independence is opened for us.

It is an unforgettable period of history for some reasons.

Firstly, it left a mark on me and nurtured my love for my home country. it is the
courageous fighting spirit of Vietnamese people.

Secondly, this is remarkable because hardly anyone could think that we won the war.

When compared to such a well-armed country like America, we never thought that we
could actually defeat them. However, with the determination of the whole nation, we
have our own peace back.
Now, public celebrations are held annually to pay a tribute to brave soldiers
who sacrificed during the war.
