Therefore, the researchers want to conduct the study to:

 Implement effective medical waste management toward a sustainable green healthcare environment

This study examines the importance of medical waste management activities for developing a
sustainable green healthcare environment. This study applied a multiple methodological
approach as follows. A thorough review of the literature was performed to delineate the factors
that have been explored for reducing medical waste. The study identified the following factors
as the most important: medical waste management (26.6%), operational management issues
(21.7%), training for medical waste management procedures (17.8%), raising awareness (17.5%),
and environmental assessment (16.4%).

 identify and address the challenges towards sustainable environmental development by managing infectious
HCW in developing countries (Jangre et al. 2023).
Healthcare waste (HCW) consists of hazardous material that may be radioactive, toxic or
infectious. Inappropriate treatment and disposal of HCW may pose health risks to
humans indirectly through the release of pathogens and toxic pollutants into the
environment. The biggest problem in HCW management is its handling, which causes
anxiety over sorting and categorizing the waste. Hence, the current study identifies and
addresses the challenges towards sustainable environmental development by managing
infectious HCW in developing countries.
 decrease environmental pollution (Bansod et al., 2023).

 assess the knowledge of safe handling, administration, and waste management of nursing students (Sargidy
et al., 2022).
Knowledge of chemotherapeutic drug (CD) handling, administration, and waste disposal
are important among nurses involved in cancer therapy. Inadequate knowledge of the
management of CD could cause environmental contamination and potential harm to
patients and nurses.
 enhance the knowledge and safe handling skills of nursing students when it comes to managing hospital
wastes (Sargidy et al., 2022).
Bio Medical Waste Management works for effective reduction of waste volume, proper
collection, segregation, transport and economical disposal of waste to prevent harm resulting
from it, retrieve reusable materials. As nursing staff is the backbone of BMW management, here
in this study we have tried to know the Knowledge, attitude, practices about BMW among
nursing students
 investigate knowledge, attitudes, and practices of doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, and housekeeping
staff, regarding MWM
