BSCE-1F Autobiography

Autobiography
‘It is what it is’, the life motto that she has been holding onto her
life. She was always in the midst of something but she always
handles what the life odd is. Her name is Daniella Denise Manalili,
she has been told eversince she was a child that she was a golden
child, the sunshine of her lolo and lola.

Eversince she was in elementary, she has been an achiever, hence,

top 1 of her class. She always seek for academic validation since
her father is working far away and hardly see and interact with her.
Her father (Ariel Manalili) is separated with Daniella’s mother
(Lynette Remilla Manalili) eversince she was a baby. She left them
and didn’t left any crumbs for them to communicate with her
.
Her grandmother became so sickly eversince she had removed her
goiter on her neck. ‘Pabalik-balik’ as they say but at December 20,
2015, the night before her 12th birthday, her favorite grandmother
died, this is first heartbreak most especially when she was told that
her grandmother said that ‘Birthday ni Denise bukas, uuwi ako,
ipagluluto ko s’ya.’ Before she died. This really broke her heart the
fact that her grandmother still knew that her birthday was
tomorrow while suffering inside the ICU. It was gloomy for her, it’s
life having a piece of her heart had been torn.

Highschool life came, it was okay for the first weeks but a total
burned out has been felt by Daniella, It was a total rebellion for her
to not study hard the usual way she was studying when she was in
elementary. The fact that she was not reviewing every time they
have an announced quiz, test or exam, it was really a totally
rebellion for her but despite of what she was doing, she still
managed to be the 2nd highest when she was in grade 7.

Curiousity to try new things visited her mind when her grade 8 life
started, she tried the new usual routine of her life, she started
doing sports such as taekwondo and sepak takraw and the good
thing is she was able to be included in the school’s sepak takraw
team and in fact, she was the team captain of the girl’s team.
Training came and it was tiring afterall, due to trainings everyday,
she met her first puppy love, the varsity guy of taekwondo team. It
was just a glimpse of relationship, truly a puppy love. Due to her
inspirations, her team managed to win cluster meet but sadly, they
lost at the congressional meet.

Grade 9 came straight and it was a memorable grade level for her
because she was able to discover her potential. It was the potential
to public speak. Her love for public speaking bloomed most
especially when her adviser is an English major instructor. She was
awarded best in English when she was in the grade 10 but the fun
from grade 10 stopped when the pandemic hits, it was also the
time when his father suffered from a heart disease and got an heart
attack. It was a gloomy pandemic days for her because she was
suffering both emotionally and financially since his father stopped
working due to his disease. Not a long time after her father’s first
heart attack, the second one came and this time, her father didn’t
survive.

She became lost in thoughts, asking what will happen to her, asking
what really her purpose. Her study habits became a little bit
messed up since it was just a modular learning modality plus what
happened to his father, her focus is also a little bit messed up and
due to that her standing in class is also lowered but she regained
her focus when she stepped unto the grade 12 life since it was the
last year of her highschool life and she needs to study hard and get
ready for college even though she was not sure if she can go to
college.

BSCE-1F Autobiography

On her grade 12 life, she became the class president of her section,
the president of her strand, the business manager of the school’s
Math Club and the Vice Chairperson for Affiliations of Region 3 for
Philippine Society of Youth Science Club. Even though she lost in
the election of SSG as the President, not a long time after that, she
was announced as the Declamation winner of her school. She was
also emailed for the acceptance on the school she applied for
which is the Don Honorio Ventura State University for the course of
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Not sure of what the odds will happen since she was struggling
financially, she enrolled herself on that school and met some
amazing gals which is now her classmates. That’s the time when she
met her first love, her dearest guy friend, the guy who is her one
call away and comfort zone, Joebert. Though it was a one-sided
love, she treated it as her first love as he was the one who she truly
and genuinely love after all of the odds that have came to her, he
listened to her.

Even though her friends and most especially Joebert opposed to

the idea of her working on a BPO company, she still applied herself
since she was really struggling financially but she just stayed 2
months on that company due to health issues and right now, she’s
hoping that the world will be on her favor on her college life.
