Book Report – Nadav Hemed:

A. The name of the book: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Level of the book: level 5
The author: Roald Dahl.
The genre: fantasy.

B. The book takes place at Willy Wonka's chocolate factory - the famous chocolate factory,
which closed its doors many years ago. The book doesn't say when the story takes place.

c. I choose task 4:
Charlie Bucket is a poor boy, who lives in a small shack with his parents and four grandparents,
who spend his time with fascinating stories. More than anything, Charlie likes to eat chocolate,
and he gets to eat once a year - on his birthday, and only one packet. Charlie's life begins to
change when Willy Wonka, the strange owner of a well-known chocolate factory, announces an
operation: five golden tickets are hidden all over the world inside chocolate packages, which
are made by the factory. Whoever finds the tickets will be granted a dream visit to the
mysterious chocolate factory, which no one has passed through its gates for many years.
Charlie wins a ticket along with four other spoiled and rich children and goes on a wonderful
and strange journey with his grandfather in the chocolate factory. On the one hand, the
children discover the charms and wonders of the factory. On the other hand , terrible things
happen to them during the trip.

I highly recommend this book because it’s impossible not to connect with it. It's not long, so it
doesn’t take long to read it. It describes a crazy journey full of fantasy, humor, surprises, and
adventures. The book is suitable for children and even for older people, everyone can read it
with pleasure. In the book, you can feel the love and warmth that exists between the family,
and how important the support of the family is – they bring Charlie money for two chocolate
packages, even though they have no money, and when he finds the golden ticket, he wants to
sell it to bring them the money, but they support him to go to the factory instead. Moreover,
the book shows me values, for instance, that it’s not good to be arrogant and spoiled and it's
important to be kind-hearted, considerate, optimistic, and full of faith. Also, the book made me
realize that our lives can change in an instant and if you believe, a lot can change - Charlie
believes that he can find the golden ticket, even though he barely has any money and his
chances are very slim, and he does find the ticket. From that moment his life changes - Charlie,
who spent most of his life with his grandparents and didn’t experience anything interesting in
his life, gets to enter the mysterious chocolate factory and go through a crazy, exciting, and
unique experience. He encounters things that he has never seen before and never thought he
would ever get to see. The events that take place in the book are special and unusual, which
makes the book so fascinating. The story is full of magic and makes you develop your
imagination and it's fun to imagine all these events and think about all the details, it added to
my reading experience. I liked that the ending of the story was exciting and positive. Reading
the book was hilarious, interesting, surprising and most of all enjoyable.

To sum up, if you want to join Charlie's journey in the chocolate factory – read the book!
