Summary of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory This is a book written by Roald Dahl which is about a boy named

Charlie Bucket. He was a son of the poor family. They were very poor that they couldnt even afford the proper food. Furthermore, there were 7 members of the family; Charlie, his parents and 4 grandparents from both his mother and father side. His father worked in the toothpaste family and the pay was so little that they couldnt buy one half of the things that a so large a family needed. The house also wasnt large enough and there was only one bed in the house which was shared between 4 grandparents who were old and invalid. The other family members sleep upon mattresses on the floor. I guess, by now, you could imagine how horrible Charlies life is. Charlie, the protagonist of the story is a very golden-hearted boy. He looks after his family and treats kindly towards his grandparents. Theres a saying, What goes around, comes around. Finally, the god rewarded his kindness by making him very fortunate enough to win a golden ticket to visit Mr. Willy Wonkas chocolate factory. Mr. Willy Wonka is the owner of the most delicious chocolate factory in the world. He decided to invite 5 of the lucky children to visit his factory and give them a truck full of chocolate after the visit. He put 5 golden tickets in the chocolate bars which were sold around the globe and the children who found that tickets would be the ones visiting his amazing chocolate factory. Charlie loved eating chocolate so much. But he only gets to eat one chocolate bar on his birthday. Against all the odds, Charlie got the 5th ticket. On the day of the visit, neither his mom nor dad could accompany him because they were busy. So, Charlies most beloved Grandpa Joe, who was surprisingly with full of energy when he heard that Charlie was going to Mr. Wonkas factory, accompanied him. On the day of the visit, Charlie and Grandpa Joe was the only people who werent wearing an overcoat on such a cold winter day. The other 4 children and their relatives were dressed up grandly. The factory was so amazing. It had the best workers that no other factories in the world could have. They were Oompa-Loompas, who were workaholics and could even entertain you by their strange songs and music. As you cant judge a book by its cover, all the other 4 families had their flaws. Augustus Gloop, who enjoyed nothing in the world but eating, falls into the chocolate river while lapping the chocolate like a dog. Violet Beauregarde, who chewed gum which was still experimented, turned into the giant blueberry. Veruca Salt, who was a spoiled kid, falls into the enormous dust bin while trying to get a squirrel to pet. Mike Teavee, who wanted to be on the television, shrank into a size of Thumbelina, so his father had to carry him in his pocket. The Oompa-Loompas sang their strange songs after the downfall of each spoiled brats. Finally, only Charlie was left. Charlie, unlike the other kids obeyed the instructions of Mr. Wonka and respected him. When Mr. Wonka was aware of that Charlie was the only one left, he told him a secret. The real reason behind the golden tickets was that Mr. Wonka realized that he was in his adult age and couldnt manage his beloved factory anymore after some time. Hence, he decided that it was time to choose heir.

As he was single, he didnt have any children. So, he was willing to give his factory to a child, who is kind, responsible and reliable. Charlie was just the one he expected. Mr. Wonka sent Charlie and Grandpa Joe back to their home by flying glass elevator. The elevator crashed right through the roof of their house. But should they worry about it? I dont think so because their family has the whole factory to reign! Hazel
