Good comforter (read up on how cold the city you’re moving to gets)
Blankets/ thick quilts for the winter
Umbrella
Rubber flip-flops (for the rain, and they double as bathroom slippers)
Caps/ shades for the summer
A pair of business formal (we recommend 1 full suit + 1 shirt + 1 pair of trousers +
formal shoes; it is good to have extra formal shirts, just in case. )
Sports shoes
Something for a party or 3
Woolens, thermals, hoodies, and sweaters (for the winter)
Socks and Innerwear (if you plan to laundry once a week, 8 pairs each, if not
more)
Sportswear (if you like to go to the gym or play sports)
A good laptop bag (and a laptop case, if your laptop is delicate.)
A small backpack/tote bag for market visits.
Room stuff
Posters and LEDs (for room decor, if that’s something you want)
Boxes and baskets (for organization; trust us, they’re life savers)
Basic stationery (get this from home, or order online here: the nearest stationery
shop is about 20 minutes away)
Water bottle (a sturdy one to carry with you all day)

Things that you need one of, between you and your roommate; and can
