Ways Students Can Become Responsible Citizens

A study conducted in an American school by Student Research Group showed that only
51% of students in America has engaged themselves to become a responsible citizen.
Responsible citizens refer to an individual who understands their roles in the community. So,
there are many ways for students to become a responsible citizens.
Have you heard about young teenagers respecting the elderly? Well, that is one way for
students to become a responsible citizens. For instance, students can talk politely to them as
they live longer than us and gain more life experiences. As a result, students can have a good
relationship and connection with the elderlies.
Moreover, students can become a responsible citizens by voting wisely on election day. It
is essential for every citizens in each country to vote because each vote matters. People at the
age of 18 and above are required to vote. By that, all citizens can live a quality life without
corruptions from the government.
Another way for student to become a responsible citizens is by doing volunteer or charity
work. For example, voluntary work can be done at the orphanage, homeless shelter and old
folks home. Therefore, it can help you feel part of a community as you are helping people who
are in need of your help.
To sum up, being a responsible citizens is very much needed for students as they are
shaping the community for future generations. By embodying respects toward the elderly, voting
wisely on election day and doing charity works, students can be one of the examples of citizens
who successfully contribute positivity towards the society.
