Supported and protected the Prophet (pbuh)
Testified the incident of Mairaj, thereupon he
received the title, “Al-Siddique” - the Testifier of
the Truth by the Prophet (pbuh)
He migrated to Madinah with the Prophet (pbuh),
putting his life into danger
Stayed in the cave of Saur for 3 days & 3 nights
He participated in all major battles like Badr, Uhad,
Trench
He married his daughter Aisha with the Prophet

He brought all of his wealth in Tabuk
Expedition
Spent his wealth in the way of Allah
Purchased slaves and set them free
Like Bilal from Umayya and Lubenah from H. Umar
(R.A)
Gave the payment for the plot of Masjid e Nabawi
A Hadith said: Abu-Bakr has favored me much
with his property and company. If I were to take
a Khalil (an intimate friend) from mankind I
would certainly have taken Abu Bakr.” 8

Fatima and brother in law, Saeed bin Zaid had

• He went to his sister in anger
• He broke into the house and started
beating his brother in law

• He calmed down and when he read the veses of
Surah Taha he greatly surprised and tears came
out from his eyes

As his wife Hazrat Ruqayya was ill
In the Treaty of Hudiabiyah he was sent as a
Messenger
But was detained by the Quraish and a rumor spread
that he had been killed

He spent his wealth with open heart in the cause of Islam
When there was a shortage of water in Madina he
purchased a well from a Jew named Bir e Roma spending
20,000 Darham and dedicated for Muslims
He also extended Masjid e Nabawi when it became small
for Muslims after the Treaty of Hudaibiyah
He donated 900 horses, 300 camels laden with grains and
1000 Dinar in Tabuk Expedition
He married with 2 daughters of the Prophet (pbuh)

Killed his opponent in single combat of Badr
Killed Marhab, the famous warrior of Jews in Khyber

Therefore, received the title, Asad ul Allah – the Lion
of God
His sword name was Zulfiqar given by the Prophet
(pbuh)
