2.1 Preface
Line Dancer is another addition to our successful library of multi
level, multi game, multi hit progressive links. The four support titles
are available as multi game suite on the SPIELO OXYGEN™ cabinet
family.

Line Dancer is driven by IGT´s System Gaming Protocol (SGP).

The SGP is based on the G2S® protocol and enables the commu-
nication between the gaming machines and the jackpot controller
2
(Star|JACKPOTS ).
2
The Star|JACKPOTS server is installed on a media controller (a
customized barebone) delivered by IGT.

The progressive jackpot is automatically displayed via an on-screen

meter (SPIELO OXYGEN dual screen technology) and one or
more LCD displays.

2. Overview

2.2 The Concept continued

All Line Dancer games provide a 6th reel located in the upper right 6th Reel
corner of the base screen. The 6th reel is randomly triggered dur- (inactive)
ing game play and offers the possibility to trigger the Line Dancer
Jackpot Bonus.

The 6th reel trigger frequency is influenced by the number of se-

lected lines during the base game. The more lines selected the better
the chances to trigger the 6th reel.

When the 6th reel is inactive it shows the available jackpot free spins 6th Reel
(number of extra spins that are awarded if a Line Dancer Jackpot (inactive)
Bonus session is started). The number of awarded jackpot free spins
is equal to the selected bet per line. The higher the selected bet per
Number of spins
line the better the chances to win multiple progressive jackpots. =

When the 6th reel is triggered, you have the chance of winning the
Line Dancer Jackpot Bonus.

2.4 General Configuration Notes

When configuring a Line Dancer installation, there are a few things
to consider:

2.4.1 Configuration USB Flash Drive

The configuration USB flash drive contains a customer specific
game configuration that is predetermined during order processing.
Depending on the configuration presets and jurisdiction the menu
settings might be adjustable. If you want to change any of the pre-
determined settings, please contact your local sales representative.

To perform an initial setup configuration the configuration USB flash

drive is mandatory! The configuration USB flash drive is connected
to one of the USB ports located at the logic box.

2.4.2 Initial Setup – Game Configuration

The game configuration settings are predetermined during or-
der processing and cannot be changed. If you want to (or have to)
change any of the predetermined settings, please contact your local
sales representative.

2.4.3 Progressive Calculation

The Line Dancer progressive parameters are calculated by means of
the Progressive Calculation Sheet. To ensure proper configuration
the progressive calculation parameters are predetermined during or-
der processing and cannot be changed. If you want to change any of
the predetermined jackpot parameters (e.g. Start Value, JP Limits,
etc), please contact your local sales representative for a recalculation.

2.4.4 Jackpot Handpays

The threshold level for jackpot handpays is determined by the Cel-
ebration Limit setting. A win that exceeds this limit will trigger a jack-
pot handpay. See also chapter 5, section 5.2 Celebration Limit or the
relevant software manual.

the media controller from overheating.

The environmental temperature must not exceed

40°C / 104°F.

Line Dancer™ – Setup and Configuration 14

3. Hardware Setup

3.2.2 Connect Signage

The media controller provides a DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA port
to connect the signage to the media controller. The display cable,
audio cable and signage mains cable is usually threaded through one
of the posts that hold the signage.

The overhead display(s) which are connected to the media control-

ler have to support a 1024 x 768 pixel display resolution at 60 Hz with
highest (32 bit) color quality.

• Thread the display cable, audio cable and signage mains cable
through one of the posts that holds the signage.

• Connect the overhead display to the DisplayPort, VGA and/or

HDMI connector.
Note: You can use up to two ports simultaneously to connect a
second display. With two displays connected to the media con-
troller make sure to set the WINDOWS® screen resolution option
«Multiple displays» to «Duplicate these displays».

• Connect the signage audio cable to the audio out jack.

3.2.3 Connect Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

Caution : A power outage or voltage peak can cause seri-
ous damage to the media controller hardware and software!
Do not operate a media controller without having a prop-
erly configured UPS connected!

The UPS device application comes pre-installed with the media

controller. For detailed information please see chapter 3, section 3.4
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

• Connect the mains cable to the media controller.

• Connect the USB cable to one of the USB ports of the media
controller.

3.4 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

The UPS in combination with the shutdown application is intended
to ensure a proper shutdown of the media controller in case of a
power outage or to compensate voltage peaks. It also allows users
to shut down the media controller by switching off mains voltage.
The UPS will detect the power loss and initialize the shutdown of the
media controller, while supplying power to the media controller until
the shutdown is completed.

Caution : A power outage or voltage peak can cause se-

vere damage to the media controller hardware and soft-
ware! Do not operate a media controller without having a
properly configured UPS connected!

The UPS device application comes pre-installed with the media con-
troller and is configured to shut down the media controller 5 minutes
