About Me

My name is Maximo Avila, and I work as a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner in Miami,

Florida. Within this role, I work as part of a private psychiatric practice and a clinical research

clinic. Several factors have influenced my decision to further my education. While family

members and my superiors have encouraged me to continue my education, it's not the only

reason for seeking to obtain the DNP degree. By advancing my education, I will have additional

privileges within my jobs, allowing me to provide even more comprehensive care to those I

serve. The potential for increased financial opportunities and the sense of accomplishment are

other aspects that I look forward to. These aspects will allow for a more stable and secure future

for myself and those who depend on me. upon completion of the DNP Program, I plan to

continue working on research and possibly open my own practice while working in collaboration

with other health providers. As for free time and hobbies, I like to listen to music and walk

during my off time. I don’t do it as much as I should, but it does relax me, and in return, it

benefits me physically and mentally. I try to have fun when I can and spend time with family and

friends. I can summarize my philosophy with these two expressions: "Actions speak louder than

words" and "Your outcomes align with your efforts." Naturally, there is more to it than just that,

but they serve me as my everyday guide for doing and accomplishing what I need to. Wishing

for things to happen can be positive, but mere wishes are not sufficient to achieve one's goals.

Whether the objective is related to finances, health, academics, or any other aspect, the

investment of time and effort is critical. In the context of completing the Jacksonville State

University DNP program, dedication and hard work are essential requirements for my success.
