When the readers.

In the last section of paragraph three they use pathos to make the readers feel strong

emotions. These changes we are causing to the rainforest are not only affecting us but also the

poor vulnerable animals we are destroying their home and killing them off. By making the people

think of the animals which are being affected this pushes them to try to stop the problem.

Logos is being used in the second paragraph. They make it known that these changes

happening to the rainforest also greatly affect us so we should be more involved in ways

to stop it. They use logic to make people understand what will happen. Even though we

might not see the effects in our lives it doesn't mean that it's not going to affect us.

In conclusion, the author of this article uses rhetorical appeals to persuade the

readers into doing something about the deforestation happening in the Amazon

rainforest. They establish their credibility with the National Institute for Space Research.

They also show what is actually happening in the forest and how it's getting progressively

worse.
